What are the ‘arrows’ of the Lord? In Deut 32:18 God says to the Israelites; You forsook the Creator who begot you and ceased to care for the God who brought you to birth. Deut 32:23-24 Therefore, I shall heap disasters upon you and expend My arrows of hunger, plague and bitter pestilence. Wild beasts will attack and snakes will poison you. Also in Job 6:4 The arrows of the Almighty have found their mark in me and my spirit has been poisoned.
But, it seems that there are worse kinds – arrows of fire.
Psalm 7:12-13 The enemy strings his bow, makes ready. It is against himself that he has prepared his deadly shafts – arrows tipped with fire.
Psalm 144:5-6 Lord, part the heavens, come down to us. Make lightening flashes far and wide, send Your arrows flying.
Hab 3:9-11 You string Your bow and fill Your quiver with arrows. At the flash of Your arrows, the sun and moon stand still.
Zech 9:14 The Lord will appear over them, His arrows will flash like lightening.
2 Sam 22:14-15 God thundered from the heavens. He loosed arrows and sped them far and wide.
Psalm 64:7 God with His arrows shoots down evildoers. Sudden is their overthrow.
Psalm 77:17 The skies thundered and Your arrows flashed hither and thither.
Psalm 45:5 Your arrows are sharp, nations lie beneath your feet.
Zeph 9:13 Judah the bow, Ephraim the arrow. [The House of Judah, the Jews and Ephraim, the leader of The House of Israel, together against the Lords enemies in this next Mid East war]
Zech 9:14 The Lord will appear over them. His arrows will flash like lightening.
Then, peace and prosperity for His people, in the Land.
Psalm 76:1-3 In Judah God is known, His dwelling in Zion. There He has broken the flashing arrows and all weapons of war.

The judgement of the House of Judah
What will happen next in the country of Israel is set out by several prophets, the clearest is Ezekiel 20:46-47 ...I am about to kindle a fire in the Negev....it will scorch everyone in the land.
This shocking and earth shattering nuclear war constitutes Gods judgement on Judah
(the Jews) as well as Edom (the Islamic nations – see Genesis ch. 36)
Isaiah 63:1-6 Who is this, coming from Edom....I shattered peoples in My anger.
The current inhabitants of Eretz Ysrael (Greater Israel) Jews, Palestinians, Jordanians, Arabs, Lebanese, Syrians, etc. are all destined for judgement in this great Day of the Lords vengeance.
Obadiah 12-16 The Day of the Lord is at hand for all the nations....you too will drink the
cup of wrath that My people, Judah, must drink on My Holy mountain.
Ezekiel 21:4 I intend to do away with both righteous and wicked alike. My sword is drawn against everyone from the Negev northward.
Hosea 8:14 And for you, Judah, a harvest of reckoning will come.
Ezekiel 21:10-14 My sword is sharpened to kill, even the sceptre of My Royal Son. Testing will surely come and what if the sceptre of Judah, which the sword despises, does not continue? Swing the sword three times, the great sword of slaughter. [1st time – 585BC, 2nd time the Holocaust, 3rd time- to come]
Isaiah 9:18-19 Wicked men have been set ablaze. The Land is scorched and the people are food for the fire.
Jeremiah 13:19 The towns in the Negev are besieged, no one can relieve them. Judah has been swept clean away.
Jeremiah 21:11-14 To the Royal House of Judah....I shall punish you as you deserve. I shall set fire to your scrubland, it will consume everything around about.
Zephaniah 1:4-6 Judah will be judged and those who have neither sought the Lord, nor enquired of Him, will be wiped out.
Jeremiah 8:5-12 Judah has no remorse or repentance, they say; All is well- no nothing is well. They will all fall on the Day of reckoning. You will be as dung spread on the ground. This wicked race would rather die than live.
Zechariah 13:8-9 It will happen throughout the Land, that 2/3 of the people will die. The 1/3 left will pass through the refining fire. They will call on Me and I will answer them....
Isaiah 4:3-4 The remnant of Judah will be called holy when the Lord cleanses Zion by a Spirit of judgement burning like fire.
Luke 19:27 As for those enemies of Mine, who did not want Me for their King, bring them here and slaughter them
Matthew 27:25 His blood be upon us and our children.
Matthew 21:41-42 The King will bring those criminals to justice and destroy them. Therefore the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will bear fruit.

THE LORDS DAY OF VENGEANCE
There will be a great Day of vengeance against the enemies of the Lord and it seems that it may be the next dramatic happening that we will experience here on earth.
Isaiah 63:1-6 Who is this coming from Edom?.... in power and victory....I trod on the nations in My anger, their blood stained My garments. I resolved on a Day of vengeance, the year for redeeming My own had come.
Rev 14:14-16 ...there appeared a Man wearing a gold crown and with a sickle in His hand. He swept over the earth with His sickle and the earth was reaped.
These two passages describe the Lord Jesus carrying out God’s judgement on His enemies. This must take place before His glorious Return, as He is described as coming robed in a garment dyed in blood. Rev 19:13
Isaiah 66:15-16 See, the Lord is coming in fire, [not clouds] His sword will test mankind. Many will be slain. Those who do magic and eat unclean things will all meet their end.
Micah 5:15 In anger and fury, I shall wreak vengeance on the nations who disobey Me.
Psalm 50:3 Our God is coming, a consuming fire and a raging storm.
Habakkuk 3:12 Furiously You traverse the earth, in anger You trample down the nations.
Isaiah 59:15-18 The Lord was displeased...outraged... so He put on garments of vengeance. According to their wicked deeds, He will repay.
Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all evildoers will be stubble.
Hebrews 10:27 A terrifying judgement of fire that will consume Gods enemies.
So, the Lords vengeance is to be as ‘a consuming fire, burning like a furnace’. This can be paralleled by Eze 20:46-47...I am about to kindle a fire in the Negev, its fiery flame will scorch everyone to the North. This passage and others, clearly describe a nuclear attack on Israel, which Iran will do, as God ordains. Isaiah 21:2... Advance Elam, up Media to the siege! Do not hesitate! [Elam & Media = Iran]
Many prophecies tell of the destruction of Israel’s attackers, in retaliation.
But, for those righteous believers, who trust the Lord;
1 Peter 4:17-18 For it is time for the judgement to begin – it is beginning with Gods own
household. [ In the Land]
Isaiah 35:4 Say to the anxious; be strong! God will save you, with His vengeance.
Jeremiah 12:14-17 These are the words of the Lord; all those evil peoples who have encroached onto the Land, which I allotted to My people, Israel as their holding, I shall uproot them. Also I shall uproot Judah, but I shall have pity on them and bring them back, IF they learn the ways [faith] of My People. The nation that will not change its ways, I shall destroy.
This passage clearly tells about the clearance of the Land of Israel, which will happen as a result of this Mid East nuclear war. Then it says that some Jews may return, provided they believe in the Lord Jesus. This infers that by then, His people, righteous Israel, will have returned and settled in the Land.

Obadiah
OBADIAH
Obadiah 15 The Day of the Lord is at hand for all the nations, your deeds will recoil on your own heads.
Obadiah 16 The drink that My own people drink on My holy mountain, [the judgement of Judah] all the nations must drink it too and be as though they never were.
Obadiah 17 But on Mt Zion there will be a remnant which will be holy. They will dispossess their enemies.
Obadiah 18 Then the House of Jacob [all 12 tribes] will be a fire, the House of Joseph [The 2 tribes of Ephraim (Britain) and Manasseh (USA) ] will be a flame and the House of Esau [Islamic nations] will be a stubble, they will burn them up, no survivors.
Obadiah 19 My people will possess the Negev, Jordan and Gaza. All the West Bank, Gilead and the Golan [parts of Jordan and Syria]
Obadiah 20 Exiles from the House of Israel [the 10 northern tribes] will possess the main part of the Land and exiles from the House of Judah [the Jews] will possess the Southern areas.
Obadiah 21 Your leaders will rule over what was Edom [Jordan, Syria and Lebanon] and the Kingdom will belong to the Lord.
