A voice will say: this is the way - follow it

Isaiah 30:1-14 The Lord says; woe to Israel, a race of rebels who refuse His Laws. They ask for preachers to ‘give us smooth words and illusions’.

Isaiah 30:15 These are the words of the Lord; In calm detachment lies your safety, your strength in quiet trust.

Isaiah 30:16-17 But you would have none of it, therefore you will be put to flight.

Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord is waiting to show you His favour and compassion, for He is a God of justice. Happy are all who wait for Him! [Luke 12:37]

Isaiah 30:19-22 People of Zion, weep no more. The Lord will answer you when you call for help. He gives you adversity and affliction now, but your teachers will no longer be hidden from you, you will see them with your own eyes. If you stray from the right path, you will hear a voice behind you saying- ‘this is the Way, follow it’. You will loath your images and will treat your idols [sorcery, false religions, materialism, etc] like filth. [Hosea 14:8 & Ezekiel 11:18]

Isaiah 30:23-24 The Lord will give rain and the Land will produce rich crops. Your livestock will prosper. [Isaiah 41:17-19 & Ezekiel 34:14-16]

Isaiah 30:25-26 On the Day of slaughter, when fortresses fall, streams of water will flow from every hill. The moon will shine like the sun and sunlight will be seven times brighter on the Day the Lord heals the wounds of His people. [Isa 63:4]

Isaiah 30:27-28 See the Lord Himself comes from afar, with anger and wrath, in dense clouds of smoke. His breath is a rushing torrent, He shakes the nations in a sieve of destruction. [Ezekiel 30:2-3 & Habakkuk 3:12]

Isaiah 30:29 But for you there will be songs and gladness of heart as you march to music, on the way to the Mountain of the Lord. [Zech 10:10 & Psalm 68:7]

Isaiah 30:30 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty and reveal His arm descending in fierce anger, with devouring flames, thunder and hail. [Heb 10:27]

For at His voice, Assyria’s strength fails, His punishing Rod strikes them down. A fire pit is prepared by Jerusalem, ready for the Lord to set it ablaze with His breath, like a stream of burning sulphur.

Ref, REB some verses abridged

My comments ; Verse 10 is appropriate for our days, as false visions and prosperity theology etc. are promulgated everywhere.

Verse 19-24 Are for the period after His people, all Israel, are resettled in the Land. They will have God given leaders and teachers to guide them until Jesus Returns.

Verse 25-28 The Lords Day of vengeance – the Day His people are healed and redeemed

Verse 29 Then they gather into the Promised Land.

A remnant will return to Israel

Isaiah 10:17-19 The Light of Israel will become a fire, its Holy One a flame which in one Day will burn up and consume His thorns and briars. The splendour of his forests and fields it will completely destroy, as suddenly as someone falling in a fit. Only a very few trees will be left.
Isaiah 10:21 On that Day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob will rely no more on foreign help, but without wavering, will truly rely on the Lord – the Holy One of Israel. A remnant of Jacob will return, to their Mighty God.
Isaiah 10:22-23 Israel, your people may be as many as the sands of the sea, but only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous The Lord will carry out the destruction upon the whole Land.

Isaiah 10:24-26 Therefore, says the Lord; My people, dwellers in Zion, do not be afraid of foreigners, though they oppressed you. Very soon My anger against you will end and My wrath will be directed at them, as I have done in times past.
Isaiah 10:27 On that Day, the burden they laid on you will be removed, the yoke broken.

Ezekiel 34:11-13 For the Lord God says; Now I will take thought for My sheep and search for them. As a shepherd gathers his flock when they are lost, so I shall rescue them from all the places that they were scattered in a Day of cloud and darkness. I shall lead them out from the nations and gather them from all the places where they were scattered and bring them home to their own country.
Ezekiel 34:14-16 The pasture for My people is the Land of Israel. They will thrive and find rest there. I shall search for the lost, bandage the injured, strengthen the sick and give My flock the proper food.
Ezekiel 34:17-22 Now, I shall judge between the fat sheep and the lean. You rams and goats have taken the best pastures and muddied the drinking water. Therefore I will save My flock and they will be ravaged no more.
Ezekiel 34:23-29 I shall set over them My servant, David he will care for them and will be their God. I shall make a covenant with them to ensure peace and prosperity The Land will bear great crops of fruit and produce. When I rescue them from the power of their enemies, then they will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 34:30-31 Then they will know that am with them and they are My people. You are My flock, that I feed and I am your God.

Jeremiah 33:6-8 Now, I shall bring healing and care for Judah and Israel and let them see lasting peace and security. I will restore their fortunes and rebuild them as they once were. I shall cleanse them of all wickedness and sin that they have committed and forgive all the evil deeds of rebellion against Me.
Jeremiah 33:9 This city will bring Me renown and praise, when the nations hear of the good things that I bestow on her. They will be in awe and trembling at this.
Jeremiah 33:14-16 The days are coming, says the Lord, when I shall bestow on Judah and Israel all the blessings I have promised them. In those days and at that time, I shall make a righteous Branch spring from David’s line; he will maintain law and justice in the Land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will be undisturbed. This is the name it will be called; The Lord our Righteousness.

Hosea 6:1-3 Come, let us return to the Lord. He has wounded us, but He will heal us. After two days, He will revive us on the third day, He will raise us to live in His presence. Let us strive to know the Lord, whose coming is as sure as the sunrise. He will come to us like the spring rains that water the earth.

1 Corinthians 2:7-9 I speak God’s hidden wisdom, His secret purpose framed from the very beginning to bring us to our destined glory. None of the powers that rule the world know that wisdom. Scripture tells us of things beyond our seeing, beyond our hearing, beyond our imagining – all prepared by God for those who love Him.

My comments;
Isaiah 10 – On one Day, the Lord will destroy His enemies. This will be the Lords Day of vengeance and the 6th seal of Revelation. The Land of Greater Israel will be cleansed and burnt off. On that Day, His righteous people will trust completely in the Lord. They will re settle into the Land.
Ezekiel 34 – His people found and rescued from wherever they are after the ‘Day of cloud and darkness”. Another description of the Lords Day of vengeance. They are brought home to their own country, Israel. All of His people, no matter what their health or age, will thrive and find rest. First, they will be judged and those priests and leaders who have led their flock astray will not enter the Land. When His people are rescued – then they will know that; “I am with them and you are My people”. Must be before the Return of Jesus.
Jeremiah 33 – Judah and Israel healed, cleansed and forgiven, live in peace and security Jerusalem will become a city that will be admired and respected worldwide. The Lord says; I will keep My promises to Israel and Judah. A leader from David’s line will appear – may be Zerubabbel, eventually will be Jesus.
Hosea 6 – His people have been punished, now to be restored. Two days [two thousand years] then revival, that is back into the Land, then on the third day [ the beginning of the Millennium] they will live in His presence. [The Lord Jesus Returns in His glory]

HAGGAI the prophet

In verses 1 to 9 of the Book of Haggai, the Jews who have returned to the Land, from their exile in Babylon, are told that the time has come to rebuild the Lords Temple.

Haggai 1:10-11 It is your fault that the heavens withhold their rain and the earth it’s produce. Because you have neglected the Lords House.
Haggai 1:13 so Haggai, the Lords messenger, said to the people; I am with you, says the Lord.
Haggai 2:4-5 Now, Zerubabbel, take heart, says the Lord – take heart, Joshua the High priest, take heart, you people. Begin the work, for I am with you and My spirit remains among you. Do not be afraid. [start building the 2nd Temple]

Haggai 2:6-8 For these are the words of the Lord; In a little while, I shall shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the land. I shall shake all the nations and their treasure will come here. Mine is the silver and the gold.
Haggai 2:9 The splendour of the latter Temple will surpass that of the former. In this place I will grant prosperity and peace.
[these 2 verses are prophesy, as at that time, the shaking did not happen, the treasure of the nations did not come and the 2nd Temple did not exceed the splendour of the 1st]

Haggai 2:10-14 On the 24th day of the 9th month......The Lord says that whatever offering that this people and nation [Judah] make here, is defiled in My sight.
Haggai 2:18 On the 24th day of the 9th month....The day the foundations of the Temple were laid.
Haggai 2:19 Will your crops fail? Not so, from this day I shall bless you.

Haggai 2:20-21 On the 24th day of the 9th month.....This is the word of the Lord; Tell Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah;I shall shake the heavens and the earth; I shall overthrow Kings, break the power of heathen realms and destroy armies.
Haggai 2:23 On that Day, says the Lord, I will take you, Zerubbabel, My servant and wear you like a signet ring for it is you whom I have chosen.
[perhaps Zerubbabel is the one mentioned in Jeremiah 30:21.]

This book of Haggai, the prophet, tell how the Jews who had returned from Babylon were motivated to rebuild the Temple.
The shaking and overthrowing mentioned, describes very well the Day of the Lords vengeance, which I contend will be this next Middle East war.

What is most interesting, is the date, repeated three times; the 24th day of the 9th month. Which is the Jewish festival of Erev Chanukka (1st candle) In the Gregorian calendar, this is the 1st Dec 2010, 20th Dec 2011, 8th Dec 2012.

The Lords Day of vengeance and the Day of the Lord

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 ... when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in blazing fire. Then he will mete out punishment to those who refuse to acknowledge God and who will not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, cut off from the presence of God.
2 Thess 1:10 When, on that great Day when He comes to reveal His glory amongst His own and His majesty to all believers.
Paul describes two events in this passage;
1/ The Day of Vengeance and the wrath of God;
Isaiah 63:4 I resolved on a Day of Vengeance, the time for redeeming My own had come.
Isaiah 66:15 See, the Lord is coming in fire, His sword will test mankind.
Micah 5:15 In anger and fury, I shall wreak vengeance on the nations who disobey Me.
Habakkuk 3:12 Furiously You trample down the nations.
Malachi 4:1 The Day comes; burning like a furnace, all evildoers will be stubble.
Hebrews 10:27 A terrifying judgement of fire that will consume God’s enemies.
Isaiah 30:26 On the day that the Lord saves His people,[righteous Israel] the sun will shine with seven times its usual brightness and the moon will be as bright as the sun.
So, we see that the first event is coming in fire with the sun super hot [a solar flare]

2/ The Glorious Return of the Lord Jesus;
Matthew 24:29 As soon as this time of distress has passed [the Tribulation] the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give light, the stars will fall and all the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
Matt 24:30 Then all the peoples will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
Matt 24:31 With a trumpet blast He will send His angels to gather His chosen from the fartherest corners of the world. [these will be the Gentile people who have kept faithful to the Lord, as His people, Israel will regather after the day of Vengeance]
Ezekiel 30:2-3 ....Wail! Alas for the day, A day is near, the day of the Lord, a Day of cloud, a Day of reckoning for the nations.
Joel 2:1-2 Blow the trumpet in Zion....Let the inhabitants tremble, for the Day of the Lord is coming – a Day of darkness..... like blackness spread over the mountains.
Ezekiel 32:7-8 [prophesy against Egypt] When I judge you, I shall veil the sun and moon with clouds, there will be total darkness over your land.

It is clear that there will be two judgements against His enemies, the first to happen soon, perhaps in conjunction with this next Middle east war, against the nations surrounding Israel. This will enable His people, righteous Israel to resettle the Land.
Then, the next judgement, just prior to the Return of Jesus. Isaiah 13:9-13

Note, that in Rev 19:13 Jesus Returns in a garment dyed in blood. In Isaiah 63:3 He tramples the nations....and their blood spattered all his clothing.
From this and the sequence in 2 Thess, we can say that the Day of Gods wrath- the sixth seal [Rev 6:12-17] will be the first event of the end time happenings.

Isaiah 34 LISTEN YOU NATIONS

Isaiah 34:1 Approach, you nations and listen – attend you peoples. Let the earth listen, all the world and all that is in it.
Isaiah 34:2 For the Lords anger is against all the nations and His wrath upon all their armies. He has given them over to slaughter and destruction. [Isa 63:4 ]
Isaiah 34:3 Their slain will be flung out and their blood will cover the ground. Their dead bodies will stink.
Isaiah 34:4 All the host of heaven will fade away. The sky will roll up as a scroll.
Isaiah 34:5 For My sword appears in heaven and descends in judgement on Edom – on a people whom I have doomed for destruction.

Isaiah 34:6 The Lord has a sword covered in blood – the blood of lambs and goats.
[righteous and wicked in the Land, destroyed Eze 21:4]
For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in Edom.
[Bozrah= the sheepfold, must be the land of Israel. Edom= the Islamic nations]
Isaiah 34:7 Their land will drink deep of their blood and be enriched by their fat.
Isaiah 34:8 For the Lord has a Day of vengeance, a time for retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause.
Isaiah 34:9 Edom’s rivers will be turned into pitch and it’s soil into brimstone.
Isaiah 34:10 Smoke from it will rise forever, no one will ever again pass through it.
Isaiah 34:11-17 The owl and raven will make it their home. All wild birds and beasts will have their place in that land.

Reference, Revised English Bible, some verses abridged.

From verse 4, we get the clue that this terrible Day of the Lords judgement is also the sixth seal – Rev 6:12-17 .....There was a violent earthquake; the sun turned black and the
moon red as blood, stars fell to the earth, the sky vanished like a scroll being rolled up.
The kings of the earth, the rich and powerful, and all men hid themselves in caves and under rocks: they called out for the earth to hide them from the One who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great Day of their vengeance has come and who can stand?
It fits, because continuing on, in Rev 7:1-8 After that......Do not damage anything further until we have set the seal of God upon His servants.
They are the 144,000 from all the 12 tribes of Israel. So, righteous Israel must regather into the Land after it is cleansed, in order for this to happen.
Then in Rev 7:9-17 [says again] After that....... describing the Millennial glories and blessings.

This description of “the sky rolled up like a scroll “ may be what would happen if an intense electromagnetic pulse was fired from the sun, by a giant sunspot. It would wipe out the earths magnetic field and possibly cause a pole reversal.

The LORDS WRATH - how it will happen

This much prophesied, still to come, Lords Day of vengeance – may happen as the same event as this next Middle East war. He Lord could use a nuclear exchange to fulfil His purposes, but what is certain is what the prophets say;
Isaiah 34:5 For My sword appears in heaven, it descends in judgement.
Psalm 11:10 The Lord is in heaven, raining fiery coals onto the wicked.
Isaiah 66:15-16 See, the Lord is coming in fire, like a whirlwind. He will judge with fire, His sword will test mankind and many will be slain by Him.
Isaiah 33:10-12 Now I shall arise, says the Lord, I will exalt Myself. You will be as chaff and stubble, a wind like fire will consume you. Whole nations will be heaps of white ash, like thorns cut down and set on fire.
Psalm 144:5-6 Lord, part the heavens. Make lightning flashes far and wide.
Isaiah 30:30 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty...descending in fierce anger with devouring flames of fire amid storms and hail.
Jeremiah 30:23-24 See what a scorching wind has gone out from God, a sweeping whirlwind which whirls around the heads of the wicked. The Lords fierce anger is not to be turned aside until He has fully accomplished His purposes.
In Days to come you will understand.

Isaiah 29:5-6 Yet, the horde of Your enemies will crumble into dust, fly away like chaff. Suddenly in an instant punishment will come from the Lord, with storms, thunder, earthquakes and great noise and a flame of devouring fire.
Isaiah 9:19 The land is scorched by the Lord, the people are like fuel for the fire.
Isaiah 10:17 The Light of Israel will become a fire, its Holy One a flame, which, in one day will burn up and consume His thorns and briars.
Isaiah 30:26 On the Day that the Lord saves His people, the sun will shine with seven times its usual brightness and the moon will be as bright as the sun.
Isaiah 30:27-28 See; the Lord comes from afar, His anger blazing and His doom heavy. His lips are charged with wrath and His tongue is a devouring fire. His breath is like a torrent in spate. He sieves out the nations for destruction.
What these (and other) prophecies say, seems to me to be describing sunspot activity.
The usual, cyclical, increase of sunspots, due in 2009/10, has not eventuated. Maybe the sun is building up a really huge flare of sunspots. These can happen very rapidly and reach earth within minutes, capable of causing enormous damage and deaths worldwide.
All electrical and communications systems, industry, transport, you name it, could be destroyed, or at least severely damaged. Armies will be back to 1800’s technology.

Isaiah 30:29 But for you there will be songs and gladness of heart to the Lord, the Rock of Israel.
Isaiah 31:5 Like a hovering bird, the Lord will be a shield over Jerusalem, sparing and rescuing her.
Psalm 60:4-5 To those who fear You, You have raised a banner to which they may escape from the bow. Save with Your strong hand, so that those whom You love may be kept safe. Reference; Revised English Bible, some verses abridged

The arrows of Gods judgement

What are the ‘arrows’ of the Lord? In Deut 32:18 God says to the Israelites; You forsook the Creator who begot you and ceased to care for the God who brought you to birth. Deut 32:23-24 Therefore, I shall heap disasters upon you and expend My arrows of hunger, plague and bitter pestilence. Wild beasts will attack and snakes will poison you. Also in Job 6:4 The arrows of the Almighty have found their mark in me and my spirit has been poisoned.

But, it seems that there are worse kinds – arrows of fire.
Psalm 7:12-13 The enemy strings his bow, makes ready. It is against himself that he has prepared his deadly shafts – arrows tipped with fire.
Psalm 144:5-6 Lord, part the heavens, come down to us. Make lightening flashes far and wide, send Your arrows flying.
Hab 3:9-11 You string Your bow and fill Your quiver with arrows. At the flash of Your arrows, the sun and moon stand still.

Zech 9:14 The Lord will appear over them, His arrows will flash like lightening.
2 Sam 22:14-15 God thundered from the heavens. He loosed arrows and sped them far and wide.
Psalm 64:7 God with His arrows shoots down evildoers. Sudden is their overthrow.
Psalm 77:17 The skies thundered and Your arrows flashed hither and thither.
Psalm 45:5 Your arrows are sharp, nations lie beneath your feet.

Zeph 9:13 Judah the bow, Ephraim the arrow. [The House of Judah, the Jews and Ephraim, the leader of The House of Israel, together against the Lords enemies in this next Mid East war]
Zech 9:14 The Lord will appear over them. His arrows will flash like lightening.

Then, peace and prosperity for His people, in the Land.
Psalm 76:1-3 In Judah God is known, His dwelling in Zion. There He has broken the flashing arrows and all weapons of war.

Israel gathered, purified & prosperous in the Land.

Ezekiel 36:24 I shall take you from among the nations, gather you from every land, and bring you back to your homeland.
Eze 36:25 I will purify you from everything that defiles you.
Eze 36:26 You will have a new heart and a new spirit within you.
Eze 36:27 I shall put My spirit within you and you will desire to only follow My Laws.

Eze 36:28 Then you will live in the Land that I gave to your forefathers. You will be My people and I will be your God.
Eze 36:29 Having saved you from all that defiles you, I shall command the Land to be plentiful.
Eze 36:30 The trees will bear abundant fruit and the soil will yield heavy crops – never again will you suffer famine.

Eze 36:31 You will recall your wicked conduct and evil deeds and will hate yourselves for them.
Eze 36:32 I assure you that it is not for your sake that I am acting, so feel the shame and disgrace of your ways, people of Israel. [it is for the sake of My holy Name, that you have profaned, says the Lord]
Eze 36:33 The Lord says; when I have cleansed you of all your wrongdoings, you will settle in the towns and the ruined places will be rebuilt.
Eze 36:34 The Land, now desolate will be plowed and sown- no longer a wasteland. [the Land deserted and desolate after this next M.E. war]

Eze 36:35 The nations still left around you will know that it is I, the Lord who has done this. [some will survive in the nations around Israel.]
Eze 36:36 The Lord God says; once again, I will let the Israelites pray to Me for help. They will become many, as flocks of sheep in the Land.
Eze 36:37 As Jerusalem has flocks of sheep at festival times, so will the towns of Israel be filled with flocks of people. Then, they will know that I am the Lord.

In the last three verses of Ezekiel chapter 36, it is made clear that the Lord is not present in His glory when righteous Israel is settled into the Promised Land.
This prophesy cannot be construed as having been fulfilled by the Jews, currently inhabiting the Land, and they also face judgement in this forthcoming war.
V 24- More than half of the worlds Jews still remain among the nations.
V 25- Not purified – about half of the Israelis are atheists.
V 26-27 – No real sign of any Spirit of the Lord in Israel at present.
V 28- The State of Israel occupies only a portion of the area promised.
V 29-30 The Jews have achieved agricultural wonders, but a lot of desert remains.
V 31-32 Shame and remorse? Not noticeable, anyway among the Jews.
V 33- Cleansed of all your wrongdoings – not happened as yet.
V 35 The nations still left. The prophesied destruction of the ‘evil neighbours” will not leave very many people, but they will be made aware of the Lords judgement.

The judgement of the House of Judah

What will happen next in the country of Israel is set out by several prophets, the clearest is Ezekiel 20:46-47 ...I am about to kindle a fire in the Negev....it will scorch everyone in the land.
This shocking and earth shattering nuclear war constitutes Gods judgement on Judah
(the Jews) as well as Edom (the Islamic nations – see Genesis ch. 36)
Isaiah 63:1-6 Who is this, coming from Edom....I shattered peoples in My anger.
The current inhabitants of Eretz Ysrael (Greater Israel) Jews, Palestinians, Jordanians, Arabs, Lebanese, Syrians, etc. are all destined for judgement in this great Day of the Lords vengeance.
Obadiah 12-16 The Day of the Lord is at hand for all the nations....you too will drink the
cup of wrath that My people, Judah, must drink on My Holy mountain.
Ezekiel 21:4 I intend to do away with both righteous and wicked alike. My sword is drawn against everyone from the Negev northward.
Hosea 8:14 And for you, Judah, a harvest of reckoning will come.
Ezekiel 21:10-14 My sword is sharpened to kill, even the sceptre of My Royal Son. Testing will surely come and what if the sceptre of Judah, which the sword despises, does not continue? Swing the sword three times, the great sword of slaughter. [1st time – 585BC, 2nd time the Holocaust, 3rd time- to come]
Isaiah 9:18-19 Wicked men have been set ablaze. The Land is scorched and the people are food for the fire.
Jeremiah 13:19 The towns in the Negev are besieged, no one can relieve them. Judah has been swept clean away.
Jeremiah 21:11-14 To the Royal House of Judah....I shall punish you as you deserve. I shall set fire to your scrubland, it will consume everything around about.
Zephaniah 1:4-6 Judah will be judged and those who have neither sought the Lord, nor enquired of Him, will be wiped out.
Jeremiah 8:5-12 Judah has no remorse or repentance, they say; All is well- no nothing is well. They will all fall on the Day of reckoning. You will be as dung spread on the ground. This wicked race would rather die than live.
Zechariah 13:8-9 It will happen throughout the Land, that 2/3 of the people will die. The 1/3 left will pass through the refining fire. They will call on Me and I will answer them....
Isaiah 4:3-4 The remnant of Judah will be called holy when the Lord cleanses Zion by a Spirit of judgement burning like fire.

Luke 19:27 As for those enemies of Mine, who did not want Me for their King, bring them here and slaughter them
Matthew 27:25 His blood be upon us and our children.
Matthew 21:41-42 The King will bring those criminals to justice and destroy them. Therefore the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will bear fruit.

Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord - I will repay

The prophet Balaam; -
Numbers 24:15-19 The word of Balaam, son of Beor, whose sight is clear, the word of him who shares the knowledge of the Most High. I see a vision from the Almighty. I behold Him, but not near; a star will come from Israel. He will smite His enemies. Edom will be conquered. Israel will do valiant deeds.
[this seems to fit the Lords judgement in the next Mid east war]

Numbers 24:23-24 Alas, who are these assembling in the North? Invaders from the region of Kittim? [Kittim- Japhetic peoples] They will lay waste to Assyria and Eber [lands to the North and east of Israel] They will perish utterly.
[this may be referring to the attack by Gogs army]

The prophet Moses; -
Deut 32:31 The enemies of the Lord have no Rock like Israel has.
Their fruit is like that of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Deut 32:33 The wine [of My enemies] is like snake poison.
Deut 32:34 All this, the Lord keeps in reserve, sealed up until the Day of disaster.
Deut 32:35 The Day of their downfall is near, their doom is fast approaching.
Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord – I will repay.

Deut 32:41 When I have sharpened My flashing sword and set My hand to judgement, then I shall punish My adversaries and wreak vengeance on My foes.
Deut 32:42 I shall make My arrows drunk with blood, My sword will devour flesh and pour out the blood of My enemies.
Deut 32:43 Rejoice with Him, you heavens, for He will avenge His people. He will punish those who hate Him and cleanse His peoples Land.

Deut 33:29 Blessed are you, Israel, set free. The Lord shields and guards you. Your enemies are conquered, they will pay homage to you.

Deut 4:25-40 ....if you do what is wrong in the eyes of the Lord, He will scatter you among the nations. Seek the Lord and you will find Him. ..... the Lord will not forget the covenant that He made with your forefathers.

Psalm 68:20 Our God is a God who saves, to the Lord belong all who escape from death.
Psalm 68:21 God Himself smites His enemies, those proud sinners with their long hair.
Psalm 68:22 The Lord says; I shall bring them back from Bashan and the sea.
Psalm 68:23 So that you can bathe your feet in blood and your dogs will lick it up.

THE LORDS DAY OF VENGEANCE

There will be a great Day of vengeance against the enemies of the Lord and it seems that it may be the next dramatic happening that we will experience here on earth.

Isaiah 63:1-6 Who is this coming from Edom?.... in power and victory....I trod on the nations in My anger, their blood stained My garments. I resolved on a Day of vengeance, the year for redeeming My own had come.
Rev 14:14-16 ...there appeared a Man wearing a gold crown and with a sickle in His hand. He swept over the earth with His sickle and the earth was reaped.
These two passages describe the Lord Jesus carrying out God’s judgement on His enemies. This must take place before His glorious Return, as He is described as coming robed in a garment dyed in blood. Rev 19:13

Isaiah 66:15-16 See, the Lord is coming in fire, [not clouds] His sword will test mankind. Many will be slain. Those who do magic and eat unclean things will all meet their end.
Micah 5:15 In anger and fury, I shall wreak vengeance on the nations who disobey Me.
Psalm 50:3 Our God is coming, a consuming fire and a raging storm.
Habakkuk 3:12 Furiously You traverse the earth, in anger You trample down the nations.
Isaiah 59:15-18 The Lord was displeased...outraged... so He put on garments of vengeance. According to their wicked deeds, He will repay.
Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all evildoers will be stubble.
Hebrews 10:27 A terrifying judgement of fire that will consume Gods enemies.
So, the Lords vengeance is to be as ‘a consuming fire, burning like a furnace’. This can be paralleled by Eze 20:46-47...I am about to kindle a fire in the Negev, its fiery flame will scorch everyone to the North. This passage and others, clearly describe a nuclear attack on Israel, which Iran will do, as God ordains. Isaiah 21:2... Advance Elam, up Media to the siege! Do not hesitate! [Elam & Media = Iran]
Many prophecies tell of the destruction of Israel’s attackers, in retaliation.

But, for those righteous believers, who trust the Lord;
1 Peter 4:17-18 For it is time for the judgement to begin – it is beginning with Gods own
household. [ In the Land]
Isaiah 35:4 Say to the anxious; be strong! God will save you, with His vengeance.

Jeremiah 12:14-17 These are the words of the Lord; all those evil peoples who have encroached onto the Land, which I allotted to My people, Israel as their holding, I shall uproot them. Also I shall uproot Judah, but I shall have pity on them and bring them back, IF they learn the ways [faith] of My People. The nation that will not change its ways, I shall destroy.
This passage clearly tells about the clearance of the Land of Israel, which will happen as a result of this Mid East nuclear war. Then it says that some Jews may return, provided they believe in the Lord Jesus. This infers that by then, His people, righteous Israel, will have returned and settled in the Land.

PEACE LIKE A RIVER

Isaiah 66:15 See; the Lord is coming in fire, His chariots like a whirlwind, bringing retribution in His furious anger. [ Eze 20:46-47 & Isa 33:10-12]
Isaiah 66:16 The Lord will judge with fire and His sword will test mankind. Many will be slain by them. [The Lords Day of vengeance. Isa 63:4-6 & Rev 14:17-19]

Isaiah 66:17 Those who practice magic arts, witchcraft and occult, those who eat defiled foods; they will all meet their end, for I know their deeds and thoughts.

Isaiah 66:18 I am coming to gather peoples of every tongue, they will come to see My glory. [His people, gathered into the Promised Land. Isa 11:11-12 & Zech 8:7]
Isaiah 66:19 I shall put My seal on some of those survivors. I will send them out, they will proclaim My glory among all peoples. [The 144,000 -Rev 4:1-7]

Isaiah 66:20 From every nation, your brothers and sisters will be brought, on all kinds of transport, as an offering to the Lord, on His holy mountain in Jerusalem. Just as in the same way, you Israelites brought offerings to My Temple.
Isaiah 66:21 I will select some of My people to be priests and Levites.
Isaiah 66:22 As the new heavens and the new earth that I will make will endure before Me, so will your posterity and name endure.
Isaiah 66:23 Every month and every Sabbath, all mankind will come and bow down before Me.
Isaiah 66:24 And they will all see the bodies of those who rebelled against Me, for their worm will not die, nor is the fire quenched. They will be a horror to all.

Isaiah 66:12 These are the words of the Lord; I shall make prosperity flow over Israel like a river. The wealth of nations will be yours.
Isaiah 66:13 I will comfort you, as a mother comforts her child – in Zion, you will find peace.
Isaiah 66:14 When you see this, your hearts will be glad, you will flourish. The Lord will make His power known among His servants, but His fury will be felt among His foes.

All of this passage in the last chapter of Isaiah, excepting verses 23 & 24, speak of events that will happen before the glorious Return of Jesus. See in verse 14 that the Lords power and fury will be known, but not His presence, as yet.

Obadiah 19 My people will possess the Negev, Jordan and Gaza. All the West Bank, Gilead and the Golan [parts of Jordan and Syria]
Obadiah 20 Exiles from the House of Israel [the 10 northern tribes] will possess the main part of the Land and exiles from the House of Judah [the Jews] will possess the Southern areas.
Obadiah 21 Your leaders will rule over what was Edom [Jordan, Syria and Lebanon] and the Kingdom will belong to the Lord.

SUFFERING AND SORROW WILL FLEE AWAY

This old world staggers along, from disaster to crisis, wars, earthquakes, storms, droughts, you name it. But God’s plans will soon come to fruition. The shocking and earth shattering nuclear war in the Middle East will set the scene for a sequence of events, culminating in the Lord Jesus’ glorious Return. This war will constitute the Lord’s judgement on Judah [the current inhabitants of Israel] and all the surrounding nations. I have made a list of 19 verses that speak of this terrible Day.

The nations:
Ezekiel 36:7 Therefore, says the Lord, the nations round about Israel will endure rebuke. [the coming war, resulting in the judgement of ‘the evil neighbours’. See Jeremiah 12:14]
The Jews:
Jeremiah 7:20 I will pour out My anger on Judah, on man and beast, trees and crops – it will be unquenched. [The Land, virtually wiped bare]

So, it may be another year or two before this:
Ezekiel 36:8 But you, mountains of Israel, put forth your branches and yield fruit for My people, Israel, for their homecoming is near. [My people, gathered, judged and settled in all of the Promised Land. Ezekiel 20:34-35]
Ezekiel 16:52 It is you, Judah, that must bear the humiliation – for your sins have pleaded your sisters cause, your conduct is so much more abominable than theirs, that they appear innocent in comparison. Now you must bear your shame.
Ezekiel 16:53 I shall restore the fortunes of your sisters, Sodom and Samaria, [the 10 northern tribes of Israel] and yours [the House of Judah] too at the same time.
Ezekiel 16:55 When your sisters become what they were of old, then your daughters will be restored likewise.
Ezekiel 16:63 You [Judah] will remember your conduct and be so ashamed and humiliated that you will never open your mouth again, once I have pardoned you.

Isaiah 40:1-2 Comfort My people, their term of bondage served – penalty paid.
Isaiah 40:3 Clear a road through the desert for the Lord, level the ground.

Isaiah 43:19 I am about to do something new. Through the wilderness I will make a way.

Micah 2:12-13 I shall assemble you, the whole House of Israel [12 tribes] herded like sheep.
Micah 4:6 I shall gather and restore the lost as a remnant, turned into a mighty nation.

Hosea 2:14-23 But now, I shall woo My people and lead them into the wilderness. I shall speak words of encouragement to them. I shall betroth you to Myself forever. Israel will be My new sowing in the Land. I say- you are My people and they will say- you are our God.

Isaiah 32:14 Houses are forsaken and streets deserted – the Land a waste to the delight of the donkeys and flocks.
Isaiah 32:15 Until the Spirit from on High is poured upon us, and then the wilderness will become garden land.
Isaiah 32:16-17 Justice and righteousness will prevail throughout the Land.
Isaiah 32:18 My people will live peacefully, in secure homes.
Isaiah 32:19-20 Despite damage to vegetation and buildings, you will be blessed with ample water, crops and grazing land.
Isaiah 35:1 Let the wilderness be glad, the desert rejoice and flower.
Isaiah 35:2 The Land will again show the glory of Lebanon, Carmel and Sharon, these will see the glory of the Lord.
Isaiah 35:3-4 Strengthen yourselves, say to those with fearful hearts- be strong. For your God comes to save you, with His vengeance and retribution. [Against your enemies]
Isaiah 35:5-7 Then the blind will see, the deaf hear, all disabilities cured. Water will flow in the desert, where jackals once roamed.
Isaiah 35:8 A highway will appear – called the way of Holiness. No unclean person will pass on it. Wicked fools cannot trespass on it.
Isaiah 35:9 No dangerous beast will come there. But, by that way the Lords redeemed will return.
Isaiah 35:10 The Lords people, set free will come back and enter the Land with shouts of joy and triumph. Gladness and joy will come upon them –
All suffering and sorrow will flee away.

MICAH - Then there will be peace

Micah 4:11 Now many nations are massed against you, they say; let her suffer outrage,
we will gloat over Zion.
Micah 4:12 They do not know the Lords purpose, for He has gathered them like sheaves
to the threshing floor.
Micah 4:13 Start your threshing, people of Zion, for I shall give you supernatural
strength and you will crush many peoples. Their wealth is to be devoted to the Lord.
[ As in Psalm 83, the Islamic nations attack Israel. The I.D.F. will destroy them]

Micah 5:1 Now, withdraw behind your walls, you people of a walled city. The siege is
pressed against you.
Israel’s ruler is struck on the cheek with a rod.
[Go into your bomb shelters. Your leader will be injured]

Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem, from you will come Israel’s King. His origin is from the
ancient past. [ Jesus, born in Bethlehem]

Micah 5:3 Therefore, Israel will be abandoned until she who is pregnant gives birth.
Then, those of the people who survive will rejoin their brethren.
[Israel and Judah scattered among the nations. After the Mideast war, they will
rejoin and settle in the Land. The “people who survive” are those who do not take
the mark of the beast and manage to survive the Tribulation]

Micah 5:4 He will rise up and lead them in the strength and majesty of God. His people
will enjoy security, for His power will reach the ends of the earth.
THEN THERE WILL BE PEACE.

Bible Prophecy

Just when do we really understand what God is telling us in Bible prophecy?
Remember that the Jewish leaders in Jesus’ time failed to understand the clear ( in
hindsight) , prophecies about His coming. Even the date could have been calculated.

Paul tells us in 1Thessalonians 5:4 But you, friends, are not in the dark, the Day of the
Lord will not come upon you like a thief.
In Daniel –The wise (those with knowledge and understanding) will know what will happen
in the time of the end.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed are those who take to heart the words written in this book.

Points we can be sure of- 1. Jesus will return and reign for 1000 years.
2. We have clear information of the circumstances of His return.
3. Before that event, it seems that a powerful leader will rule the world, for at least 7
years.
4. There will be terrible destruction over all the earth for 3.5 years, just prior to
Christ’s return.

Do any prophecies say how this so called Anti Christ will come to power?
What about the Middle East situation? How is it possible to resolve it?

If the Jews, the current inhabitants of the Land of Israel, are His chosen people, why
are 42% atheist, 25% believe in a God, but do not acknowledge Him, 20% practice
Judasim (see Isaiah 29:13) and the rest are a hodgepotch of religions. Only a tiny
minority are Christian.
How do you think God feels about them?

Isaiah 46:10 and Amos 3:7 both state that the Lord reveals His plans to His servants.
It follows, therefore, that provided we are truly are His servants, we should be able to search the scriptures and obtain a true picture of Gods plan.
Unfortunately, because of the way Scripture is written, as Isaiah says- a little here, a little there, it just seems too hard for most to sort it out. Some prophecies are written in allegory, that is using a type or example to help explain it. Careful discernment is needed to separate allegory from what should be read literally.
Many thousands of godly people have spent entire lifetimes trying to unravel prophecy, but we are told that it is only when the end approaches, that we will finally understand.

What are the signs of the end?
Daniel says – Many will run to and fro, trying to gain knowledge. Some people will purify themselves, but the wicked will continue in their wickedness.
Jesus says- False Messiahs will arise and fool many. There will be wars, famines and earthquakes around the world. Lawlessness will spread and the faith of many will grow cold. But, whoever endures to the end will be saved.
Because God wants His people to know their future, we cannot just ignore or gloss over what He has given us in His word.

The book of Zephaniah

THE BOOK OF ZEPHANIAH - AN END TIMES STORY

Zephaniah, a prophet during the reign of King Josiah, circa 620BC.

Zeph 1:2-3 Humans and all living things will be destroyed from the Land. The wicked will be brought to their knees.
Zeph 1:4-6 Judah will be judged and those who have neither sought the Lord or enquired of Him will be wiped out.
Zeph 1:7 Be silent before the Lord, for the day of vengeance is near. The Lord has prepared a sacrifice and set apart those He has invited.
Zeph 1:8-11 I shall punish all you leaders and officers on the Day of the Lord’s sacrifice.
Cry and wail, you merchants and dealers, all who fill the Lord’s House with violence and fraud, you will be destroyed.
Zeph 1:12-13 Those complacent people who say the Lord will do nothing. They will build and plant, but all will be destroyed.
Zeph 1:14-18 The Great Day of the Lords wrath is near, a Day of destruction and battle cries. Great distress will come on the people who have sinned against the Lord; their blood will pour out on the ground. Their wealth will not save them, for He will make a sudden and terrible end to all who live in the Land.
Zeph 2:1-2 Humble yourselves, you shameful nation, before the Day arrives, before the burning anger of the Lord comes upon you.
Zeph 2:3 Seek the Lord, all you who live humbly, obeying His laws. It may be that you will be sheltered on the Day of the Lord’s anger.
Zeph 2:4-7 Gaza will be deserted, woe to all you Philistines, I shall crush you – your land will belong to the survivors of Judah.
Zeph 2:8-9 I have heard the insults of the Ammonites, those who made threats against My people. Moab and Ammon will become a wasteland for evermore and My people will dispossess them.
Zeph 2:10-11 Because, they [the Ammonites / Jordanians] have insulted My people and encroached on their Land, I will bring terror upon them. Then the nations of the coasts and islands will worship the Lord.
Zeph 2:12 You Cushites [Cush- a son of Ham, the African peoples] will be slain by the Sword of the Lord.
Zeph 2: 13-15 Assyria destroyed, will become a waste land, all who pass by will scoff at her fate.
Zeph 3:1-4 Woe betide that tyrant city, filthy and foul. [Jerusalem] She heeded no warning – refused to trust the Lord. Her leaders were as wolves and lions. Her prophets, treacherous men and her Rabbis do violence to the Law.
Zeph 3:5 Yet every day, the Lord dispenses justice, but the wrongdoer knows no shame.
Zeph 3:6 I have wiped out this arrogant people, their cities are abandoned.
Zeph 3:7 I said surely they will fear Me and accept correction, that they would escape destruction, but no, they eagerly continued in their evil ways.
Zeph 3:8 Therefore, says the Lord, wait for the Day when I accuse you. I will gather nations in order to pour My wrath upon them. The whole earth will know the fire of My jealousy.

[ I consider that from this point the prophecies refer to the Millennial time ]

Zeph 3:9 Then I shall restore pure lips to all peoples. So that everyone may call on The Name of the Lord and serve Him with one accord.
Zeph 3:10 My worshippers in distant places will bring their offering to Me.
Zeph 3:11 On that day, Jerusalem, you will not be shamed because I will have rid you of your proud and arrogant citizens.
Zeph 3:12-13 Only a remnant of lowly and humble people will survive. They will be righteous and nothing will make them afraid.
Zeph 3:14-18 Shout for joy, Israel, your punishment is over, your enemies defeated.
The Lord is now in your midst, He will show His love for you.
Zeph 3:19 When that time comes, I will deal with your oppressors. I shall gather you and bring you all home.
Zeph 3:20 You will have honour and praise among all the peoples when I restore your fortunes before your eyes. It is the Lord who speaks.

Note. I use the Revised English Bible, which I regard as the most accurate and easy to read translation.
I have abridged most verses, but the words used are as written in Scripture.
Words in brackets [ ] are my explanation.

The return of the 12 tribes of Israel

Here is a list of Bible verses that indicate Gods people, the House of Israel and the House of Judah, will return and resettle in the Promised Land, soon after it is cleansed
by the next Mideast war. This will be at least 7 years before Jesus Christ’s glorious return, as the Anti Christ will sign a peace treaty with His people, Israel at the commencement of the 70th week of Daniel.

Ezekiel 36 This whole chapter speaks of Israel’s return and redemption.
Ezekiel 36:23 I will reveal My Holiness through you. [The Lord has not returned yet,
His hand in Israel’s gathering, etc. will be apparent]
Ezekiel 36:36 The nations left around you will know that it was I, the Lord who has
done this.
Ezekiel 36:37 Once again I shall let the Israelites pray to Me for help.

Hosea 14:7 Israel will again live in My shadow. [not in His presence, as yet]

Psalm 85:1 You have shown favour to Your Land and restored the fortunes of all Israel.
Psalm 85:11 Faithfulness comes from the earth and justice looks down from heaven.
[His people are faithful as God gives justice from heaven]

Jeremiah 50:4 In those days and at that time – Israel and Judah will come together
and in tears, go in search of their God.
Jeremiah 50:5 Come let us make a covenant with the Lord.
[ The Lord has yet to appear to them]

Hosea 1:11 The people of Israel and Judah will be reunited and will chose for
themselves one governor. [A leader chosen democratically, until Jesus
comes to take over the Kingdom]

Jeremiah 3:15 I will give you leaders after My own heart. They will lead you with
knowledge and understanding.

Jeremiah 29:13 When you seek Me, you will find Me- if you search wholeheartedly.
Jeremiah 29:14 I shall let you find Me, then I shall gather you from the nations and
restore you to the place from which you went into exile.

These last verses from Jeremiah, tells us – if we wish to be included in Gods people –
that it is up to us to pray and search His word for our own redemption.

END TIMES – SOME F.A.Q’s Bruce McKerras August 2010

Who are My People ? - To be gathered into the Promised Land.
This is a difficult question and really only God knows. It does seem clear, from what the Bible tells us, that they are mostly actual descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
But, even in ancient days, aliens joined and were accepted as Israelites.
Isaiah 56:8 Yet others I will gather, to those already gathered in the Land.
John 11:52 Jesus will die, not for the Jews alone but in order to gather together the scattered children of God.
In Ephesians 2:19-22 Paul says that those true believers in Jesus Christ are no longer aliens.
The New Testament brings a new day – not only would the Israelites be a part of God’s people but in this new day the Gentiles could be grafted into this people line. Therefore, all true believers in Jesus are now “My People”.

You will know My people by their righteous lives.
John 15:16 You did not choose Me- I chose you. I appointed you to go on and bear fruit,
fruit that will last.
Luke 6:44 Each tree is known by its fruit, you don’t get figs or grapes from brambles or thistles.
Matthew 12:33-35 You can tell a tree by its fruit.
Matthew 7:19 A tree that does not yield sound fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire
Isaiah 3:10 Happy are the righteous, all will be well with them. They will enjoy the fruits of their deeds.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is the tree of life.

When will these end time events happen?
It is very scary, but it seems likely that the prophecies that speak clearly of a Mid East nuclear war will be fulfilled in the near future. I agree with the idea that the tribulation will finish during a Jubilee year, probably 2030. An interesting verse in Luke 13:32 Jesus says that He will work for 2 days then will reach His goal on the third. As a day is like 1000 years to the Lord, then His goal- His Millennial reign will start exactly 2000 years after the start of His ministry. And again in Hosea 6:2 After 2 days, He will revive us. On the 3rd day we will live in His presence
So, working back, 2023 is the start of the 7 year Tribulation. We can only guess how much time is needed for the Gathering and Judgement of His people and their settlement in the Land.
But, war may happen at any time, this crazy situation between Israel and the Muslims has gone on so long, just cannot stay like this forever. Watch Iranian politics, Ahmadinejad nearly lost the last election – only fraud kept him in office so he must act while he still has power.

How will His people gather in the Land ?
Jeremiah 30:10 Israel, do not despair, I shall bring you back safe from afar.
Ezekiel 34:11 Now I shall take a thought for My sheep and search for them.
Ezekiel 34:12 As a shepherd, I shall find and rescue my sheep, no matter where they were scattered.
Isaiah 49:22 The Lord says, I shall beckon to the nations, hoist My signal to the peoples and they will bring your sons in their arms and your daughters on their shoulders.
Jeremiah 16:15-17 I will bring the Israelites back to the Land that I gave to their forefathers. I shall send for many fishermen and they will fish for them. After that, I shall send for many hunters and they will hunt them from every place. For My eyes are on all their ways, I am watching them and I see any wrongdoing.
Isaiah 60:8-9 Who are these, that sail along like clouds, that fly like doves to their dovecotes? They are vessels assembling from the coasts and islands; they bring your children from far away, their treasure with them. The Holy One of Israel has made you glorious for His honour.
Hosea 2:14 Now I shall woo Israel and lead her into the wilderness, speak words of encouragement to her.
Psalm 68:7 God, when at the head of Your people, You marched through the barren waste – the earth trembled and rain poured down.
Psalm 68:17 There were myriads of Gods chariots when the Lord came from Sinai.
Zechariah 8:8 My people, brought back to live in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 10:10 I shall lead them into Gilead and Lebanon, until there is no more room.

What will My people eat and drink ?
Ezekiel 36:8 You, mountains of Israel will put forth your branches and yield fruit for My people, Israel for their homecoming is near.
Ezekiel 36:9 See, I am now for you, I shall turn to you – the land will be tilled and sown.
Ezekiel 36:10 I shall settle on you many people- the whole House of Israel.
Isaiah 41:17-19 The poor and needy look for water and find none. I, the Lord will provide for their needs. I shall open springs in the hills and pools in the desert.
Ezekiel 34:14-16 There will be rich grazing on the hills of Israel. I shall strengthen the sick and give My flock their proper food.
Micah 7:14 your flocks will graze in Bashan and Gilead as in days gone by.
Ezekiel 34:26-27 I will bless you with rain in due season. Trees will bear fruit and the soil its produce.
Psalm 81:16 You will be fed with the best flour and honey.
Joel 2:19 The Lord answered their appeal and said – I shall send you corn, new wine and oil. You will have plenty of food.

Where will My people gather ?
Ezekiel 37:21-22 I am going to take the Israelites from their places of exile among the nations. I shall assemble them on the mountains of Israel.
Amos 3:9 Make this proclamation – Assemble yourselves on the hills of Samaria, look at the tumult seething among her people.
Ezekiel 20:35-36 I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, there I shall confront you and bring you to judgement. Even as I did to your forefathers in the desert of Egypt.

A leader appointed
Jeremiah 30:21 A governor will appear, one of your own number – I will bring him near and let him approach Me.

Prayer and encouragement for His people
Colossians 1:9-12 We ask God that we may receive from Him, full insight into His will, all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that our manner of life may be worthy of the Lord and entirely pleasing to Him. We pray that we may bear fruit in active goodness of every kind, and grow in the knowledge of God.
In His glorious might, may He give us ample strength to meet with fortitude and patience whatever comes; and to give joyful thanks to the Father who has made us fit to share the heritage of Gods people in the Kingdom of light.

IRANS NUCLEAR MULLAHS

IRAN’S NUCLEAR MULLAHS AND THEIR PLANS FOR THE APOCALYPSE
Bruce McKerras August 2010

The Iranian mullahs either have or will very soon have nuclear weapons. This reality is horrifying in the context of the Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s fantasy of annihilating
Israel. The inspiration for this fantasy is the apocalyptic world vision of Ahmadinejad and his co-rulers. This vision involves the Islamic Shi-ite belief in the return of the Hidden 12thImam, who is the awaited Mahdi of the Muslims. He is one of two eschatological figures in Islamic theology, the other being Jesus.
Al Mahdi means “the rightly guided one” and is portrayed as coming before the end times to make the entire world Muslim. Muhammad said that the Mahdi “will fill the earth with justice as it is now filled with oppression”.
This hidden Imam is, according to Islamic tradition, due to re-appear after a period in which the Muslims suffer great persecution and calamity. It is within the realm of possibility that Ahmadinejad is thinking that he can hasten the coming of the Imam Mahdi by bringing about an increase of what he would regard as oppression of the Muslims – ”oppression” that would in reality be Israel’s defensive response to an Iranian attack. The Shi-ite Muslims especially, believe that for as long as the Mahdi remains hidden, the world will stay apostate. They are fixated on the end times and are on the constant lookout for signs of his return. This obsession shapes their life, culture and politics and as can be seen by Ahmadinejad’s speeches, their approach to world affairs.

The Jews are described in Islamic theology as worshippers of the “Dajjal”- the Muslim equivalent of Anti-Christ. The Mahdi will lead the Muslims to defeat the Dajjal and then kill every Jew. If a Jew seeks refuge under a stone or behind a tree, they will be able to speak to tell a Muslim, “There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him! “

Not only are the Jews destroyed in the final war, but the Koran says they will serve as ransom for the Muslims in the fires of hell. The sins of the Muslims will weigh on them like mountains, but on the day of resurrection, these sins will be lifted and laid upon the Jews.

Anyone who says that there is no anti-Semitism in Islam is on a par with someone who claims that Islam is a ”religion of peace”.

Such is the fate of our adversaries.
ARABIA
This prophecy in Jeremiah mentions King Nebuchadrezzer of Babylon attacking Kedar and Hazor. This did happen during Jeremiah’s lifetime, but not to the full extent of this prophecy.
Jeremiah 49:28-33 Arise, attack Kedar and destroy the desert peoples of the East. Your possessions will be taken. A cry of terror will go up – flee quickly away and hide in remote places. Hazor will become a desolate place forever, totally uninhabited.
Isaiah 21:13-17 An oracle concerning Arabia. You, who live in Arabia and Tema, meet the fugitives with food and water, those who flee from the sword, from the heat of the battle. Then, within a year, all of Kedar’s glory will come to an end, only a few of her soldiers will be left.

JORDAN
Ezekiel 25:1-11 Prophesy against the Ammonites – because you exulted over the Land of Israel with spiteful contempt, I shall give you up to be plundered by the nations. I will cut you off from other peoples and exterminate you from every country. Peoples from the East will camp on your land.
Jeremiah 49:1-8 Has Israel no heirs? Why, then do Milcoms people possess the towns of Gad? Therefore a time is coming when you will hear the battle cry. Ammon will become a desolate mound, all its towns burnt to ashes.
Ezekiel 21:28-32 A sword of slaughter will flash like lightning. The visions that you have are false, advising you to bring the sword against the unbelievers, but the time of their punishment will come later. In the land of your ancestry, I will judge you, I shall hand you over to brutal men. You will be fuel for the fire and be remembered no more.
Amos 1:13-15 For crime after crime of the Ammonites, I shall grant them no reprieve, because in their greed for land, they ripped open pregnant women in Gilead. Therefore, fire will destroy Rabbah- Ammon with a whirlwind on that day. Their King will go into exile and his officers with him.

Isaiah 19:17 Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians, even the mention of Israel will terrify them.
Isaiah 19:18 In that day there will be 5 cities who speak the ancient language and who worship the Lord. [Coptic Christians?]
Isaiah 19:19-20 Also, on that day there will be an altar and a monument to the Lord, as a witness when they cry out to Him, and He will send a deliverer to rescue them. Egypt will acknowledge and worship the Lord, He will respond to them and heal them.
Ezekiel 29:8 The Lord God says, I am bringing a sword against you. Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. For 40 years the people will be scattered among the nations. Then regathered to upper Egypt.
Ezekiel chapter 30 Alas for the day, a sword will come on Egypt, by the hand of foreigners, I shall lay waste to the land of Egypt.
Ezekiel chapter 31 The pride of Pharaoh cut down.
Ezekiel chapter 32 Many peoples will be appalled at the fate of Egypt, the cattle destroyed, the land laid waste and empty.

There are other prophecies which give the fates of Edom, Moab, Assyria, etc. As the modern identity of these peoples is uncertain, I have not included them.

The fate of the evil neighbors

THE FATE OF THE EVIL NEIGHBORS Bruce McKerras August 2010

Not if, but when, the confederation of Islamic nations and entities such as Hamas and Hezbollah, attack Israel in their desperate effort to overcome the humiliation of previous failed attempts to “wipe Israel off the map “- Then, a nuclear explosion will destroy Southern Israel. As in Ezekiel 20:46-47.
The Israel Defence Force has a stockpile of over 200 nuclear weapons, including neutron and thermonuclear bombs. They will immediately action the “Samson Option “which will deliver destruction to all those attackers. Here is an abridged quotation of Bible verses that reveals the fates of those “evil neighbours”. see Jeremiah 12:14.

THE NATIONS
Psalm 83 Do not keep silent, O God, for your enemies have devised a plot against your people. Let us wipe them out as a nation, they say- Let Israel be remembered no more.
Scatter them; make them as dung on the ground. As a fire rages through a forest, may they perish in disgrace.
Zechariah 12:1-9 This is the word of the Lord concerning Israel. I am about to make Jerusalem an intoxicating cup that sends all the surrounding nations reeling. Judah will be involved. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All who try to move her will be cut to pieces. The armies of those nations will be struck with blindness and madness. Judah will praise Me on that day and their leaders will be as a burning torch among the sheaves. All the nations right and left will be consumed.
Zechariah 14:12-15 This is the plague that will strike the nations who fight against Jerusalem – their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet. Panic will cause them to fight each other.
Isaiah 33:10-12 Now I shall arise, says the Lord. You will conceive chaff and stubble. Whole nations will be heaps of white ash, like thorns set ablaze.
Jeremiah 9:25-26 The Lord says, the time is coming when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh. All those who live in the desert regions are uncircumcised in their hearts.
Ezekiel 28:26 When I execute judgement on all of Israel’s scornful neighbours, then My people will live in the Land, undisturbed.

In Part Two, I specify the fates of Iran, The Palestinians, Syria, Lebanon, Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt.

THE JUDGEMENT OF GODS PEOPLE July 2010

Life and business continues as usual in the Middle East, planning, building, marrying and diplomatic efforts to resolve the “Israel situation”. We, as Bible students, have some idea about Gods plans as given to us through His prophets. It’s clear that the next major event will be a nuclear war started by Iran and finished by Israel. There won’t be a winner, as such, as the entire region will be depopulated – mostly killed, some evacuated, excepting Israel, where a remnant of the Jews will remain in the Land.
After a short period, God will motivate His people, Israel, that is, all the 12 tribes, to move to the Promised Land. Millions will gather to face His Judgement and then will enter the land in peace in security after they “pass under the rod”.

In Deuteronomy 32:36 Moses said that after Israel has sinned and been dispersed, that the Lord will judge His people and have compassion on His servants, for He will see that their strength has gone and no one is left, slave or free.
v41 I will sharpen My sword and set My hand to judgement, then I shall punish My adversaries and take vengeance on My foes.
HOSEA 12:2 The Lord has a charge to bring against Judah and is resolved to punish Jacob for his misconduct.
EZEKIEL 20: 35-36 I shall confront Israel and bring you to judgement. Even as I did in the Wilderness of Egypt against your forefathers, so against you I shall state My case.
ISAIAH 1: 25 Once again I shall act against you, to refine and purge away all your impurities.
EZEKIEL 22:17-22 The Lord says, all Israelites are a debased alloy, I shall gather you in My anger and wrath into Jerusalem, where I will melt and refine you.
HOSEA 7:1 When I am minded to restore the fortunes of My people their guilt will stand revealed.
AMOS 3:1 You alone I have chosen of all the nations, therefore I shall punish you for your sins.
NAHUM 1:3 The Lord is longsuffering, but does not let the guilty go unpunished.
ZECHARIAH 8:11 But now I will deal differently toward the remnant of this people than as I did in the past.
PSALM 68:6 God leads the prisoners home, but the rebels must remain in the desert.
EZEKIEL 20:37 I shall make you pass under the rod, counting you as you enter. v38 I shall purge you of those who revolt and rebel against Me. I shall take them out of the lands where they now live, but they will not set foot on the soil of Israel.
ISAIAH 10:17 The Holy One of Israel will become as a flame which in one day will consume his thorns and briars.
v20 On that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob, will rely only on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
v22 Israel, your people may be as many as the sands of the sea, but only a remnant will return (into the Land) Destruction has been decreed- righteous and just.
ISAIAH 54:22-23 I take from your hand My bowl of wrath, I shall hand it to your tormentors
EZEKIEL 20:40-41 On the Holy mountain of Israel, all the Israelites will serve Me. There I will accept them, after I have brought you out from the peoples and lands to which I dispersed you. I alone will have your worship and the nations will witness it.
HOSEA 2:14-23 But now I shall woo My people and lead them into the wilderness. I will speak words of encouragement to them. I shall betroth you to Myself forever. Israel will be My new sowing in the Land. I will say “You are My people “and you will say “You are our God “
ISAIAH 41:1 Listen in silence to Me, you coasts and islands, together we go to the place of Judgement.
v8-10 Israel My servant, summoned from the ends of the earth. Have no fear
For I am with you, I shall strengthen you and uphold you with My victorious right hand.
PSALM 30:4 Sing to the Lord, all you loyal servants. V5 His anger lasts but a moment, His favour a lifetime. Weeping for a night, rejoicing comes in the morning.
PSALM 22:23-25 You that fear the Lord, praise Him, revere Him, you descendants of Jacob. The Lord listens to your cry for help. I shall fulfil My vows in the sight of those who fear you.
ISAIAH 32:15-20 The Land is forsaken until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high. The land will become fertile. Justice, righteousness and peace will reign in the Land and My people will dwell undisturbed in peace and security.
ACTS 26:6 Paul says: And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers: v7 unto which promise our twelve tribes, serving God day and night, hope to come.

THE GATHERING OF GOD’S PEOPLE

I
Bruce McKerras July 2010

After the cleansing of the Land, My people, Israel, that is all the 12 tribes of Jacob, are prophesied to be gathered and judged at a location called the “Wilderness of the People“, or “the Desert of the Nations “.

There are dozens of prophecies about Israel’s return; some belong to the time of Nehemiah, others to the Jewish return, now fulfilled. But most pertain to the time of Israel’s final regathering, judgement and resettlement in the Promised Land.

Those currently in the Land, who are left after the next Mid East war, will be judged first.
ISAIAH 4: 3 The remnant of Judah left in Zion will be called holy.
V 4 when the Lord cleanses Zion by a spirit of judgement burning like fire.
V 6 Then His glory will provide a refuge and shelter.
ZECHARIAH 12: 7 The Lord will set free Judah first, for their greater glory.

Then those from all 12 tribes dispersed throughout the world will be gathered in the Land to be passed under the rod of judgement and the righteous allowed to enter and settle. Not for your sake, but for the honour of My Name, says the Lord. Ezekiel Ch 20.

Here is a reading of abridged scriptures pertaining to the regathering of “My People.”

1 On that day the Lord will exert His power a second time to recover the remnant of His people from the four corners of the earth. He will hoist a standard for the nations and gather those dispersed from Israel and Judah. The enmity between Israel and Judah will cease. 2 For a passing moment, I forsook you, but with tender affection I will bring you home again. 3 I will comfort My people, your term of bondage is served- the penalty paid. Clear a road through the desert, make a way in the wilderness. 4They will neither hunger nor thirst; I will love and guide them. My people, are coming from every direction.
5 Arise, shine Jerusalem for the glory of the Lord has dawned. Look, your children are assembling, coming back to you. Vessels are coming, bringing your children from far away, their treasure with them. At the appointed time, I the Lord will bring this to pass. 6 Come back, apostate Israel – I won’t be angry forever. I shall take you, one from each city and two from each clan and bring you to Zion.
7 You Israelites will be brought back to the soil that I gave to your forefathers. I shall send fishermen and hunters to find you. You are not hidden from My sight. 8 My people that escaped the sword have found favour in the wilderness. Gathered from the far ends of the earth – the blind and the lame and the women in labour. A vast company. I shall comfort them and be their escort. I am a father to Israel and Ephraim is My eldest son. There will be great rejoicing. 9 I shall take the Israelites from among the nations, gather you from every land and bring you to your homeland. I will appoint a King over them all – no longer two nations (Israel and Judah). 10Israel is swallowed up among the nations, like a wild ass that goes its own way. I will now round them up. Their guilt will be remembered and their sins punished. 11I shall assemble you, the whole House of Jacob, the remnant of Israel –
Like sheep in a pen, the Lord leading them. 12Your boundaries will be extended on the day Gods people return, from every sea and every mountain.
13This is the word of the Lord; I am about to rescue My people from the countries to the East and West. They will be My people and I shall be their lord in faithfulness and peace. 14I shall whistle to call them in, those yet in far off lands, they will remember Me. I shall lead them into Gilead and Lebanon – there will not be room enough for all of them. Israel will march proudly in His name. 15When You marched through the desert with your people, the earth shook and the sky poured rain. The Land was restored and Your people settled. 16Give thanks to the Lord all you redeemed and gathered out of all the lands of the earth.
Some wandered in the wastelands, they cried to the Lord. He led them to a city where they could live.
Some were prisoners – they had rebelled against God, they cried to the Lord. He saved them from distress.
Some were fools who took to rebellious ways, their punishment was a revulsion of food, they nearly starved, they cried to the Lord – He saved them.
Others in ships at sea, the storms tossed them about, they cried to the Lord, the storms ceased and He guided them to safe harbour. The desert blooms, they build and plant, flocks and herds increase. Whoever is wise, let him think on things to heart and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.
17Now I shall show compassion and will restore the fortunes of all Israel. They will forget their shame and unfaithfulness when they live once more in their homeland, undisturbed. When I gather them from the lands of their enemies, I shall make them exemplify My Holiness for many nations to see. I will pour My spirit upon them.

However, this may be how the Lord really feels about His people at the moment:
ISAIAH 41v 14 Have no fear, Jacob you worm – Israel you maggot.

It seems there is a long way to go to becoming the “chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”. 1 Peter 2:9

CLEANSING OF MY PEOPLE: ISRAEL

Who are Israel? All the prophets carefully separate the House of Israel from the House of Judah. Their various names and their current whereabouts is documented elsewhere.
They will rejoin in the last days as in Ezekiel 37v 21-22 –Two sticks joined as one. Isaiah 56v 8 ..added to those already gathered.

An often used allegory for His people in the Bible is ”My sheep”.
Ezekiel 34v 10 Wicked shepherds brought to account.
Ezekiel 34v 20 Fat and lean sheep judged.

Another allegory for Israel is “the vine”.
Amos 5v 17 ..wailing in every vineyard, for I shall pass through your midst.
Jeremiah 6v 9-15 Glean Israel like a vine ..no warning.. cannot hold back the anger of the Lord. This passage may be a parallel of Matthew 24v 37-41 one taken, another left
Micah 7v 1 Summer fruit gathered at the gleaning.

Ezekiel 20 v 34-38 I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered—with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. I will bring you into the desert of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgment upon you. As I judged your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, so I will judge you, declares the Sovereign LORD. I will take note of you as you pass under my rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. I will purge you of those who revolt and rebel against me. Although I will bring them out of the land where they are living, yet they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

So, Israel is cleansed and the righteous allowed to settle in the Land. (v40)
When can this happen?

Isaiah 63 v 1-6 describes the Lord taking a “Day of Vengeance” as “the Year for redeeming My own had come”. The parallel for this event is Revelation 14 v 17-20 .. the earth’s grape harvest gathered and thrown into the winepress of God’s wrath.

Note that in Isaiah 63 the Lord has bloodstained garments and at His glorious return, Rev. 19 v 13, His garments are dyed in blood. Therefore, the Day of Vengeance is some time before His return.

HOLOCAUST THREE

by Bruce McKerras July 2010

Over the 20 centuries since the time of Jesus Christ’s first coming to earth, the Jewish people have suffered terrible persecutions, pogroms and discrimination.
This fulfils several prophecies – that the Jews will be a curse and a derision in the world
JEREMIAH 17; 1-4 The sin of Judah is recorded on their hearts, the fire of My anger will burn forever.

EZEKIEL 21: 2 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and prophesy against the Land of Israel.
V 3 I shall draw My sword to cut off everyone from South to North.
V 4 I will make away with both the righteous and wicked, My sword will be drawn against everyone from the Negev northward.
V 7 All courage will fail – it will surely take place.
V10A sword is sharpened for the slaughter, polished to flash like lightning.
Should we rejoice in the sceptre of Judah? No, the sword condemns the Rod of My Son.
V 12 Cry and wail for it falls on My people – all your rulers will be killed.
V13 Testing will surely come – what if the sceptre of Judah, which the sword despises, does not continue?
V14 Swing the sword three times, the great sword of slaughter.

Verse 14 is highly significant, as it may foretell three holocausts of the Jewish people. 1/ The revolt against the Romans, Maccabees to AD 70, when millions were killed.
2/ The Holocaust during the second World War.
3/ The final gathering and judgement of the Jewish people in the Land.

At the trial of Jesus, the Jews said in; MATTHEW 27:25 His blood be on us and our children. In the parable of the King and his servants, LUKE 19: 14 ..his subjects hated him and said “We don’t want this man to be our King “
LUKE 19: 27 As for those enemies of Mine that did not want Me for a King, bring them here ( into the Land ) and slaughter them in My presence.

MATTHEW 21 The parable of the vineyard
V38 The wicked tenants said; This is the Heir, come – let us kill him and get the inheritance.
V 41 The King will bring those criminals to justice and destroy them. He will then rent the vineyard to righteous tenants.
V 43 Therefore the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you ( Jews )
And given to a people who will bear fruit.

EZEKIEL 16: The Lord is saying how He rescued and tended Judah, but her depraved conduct surpassed even that of her sisters, Samaria ( Israel ) and Sodom
V35 Therefore, you prostitute, because of your brazen excesses,
V37 I shall assemble all those around you - whom you loved
V38 I shall bring you to trial for adultery and murder.
V39 When I hand you over to them, they will strip you naked.
V 40 They will punish you with stones and swords
V41 Burn down your houses and execute judgement in the sight of many women.
V46-52 You surpassed the sins of your sisters, Samaria and Sodom.
V 62 Eventual restoration in your shame and humiliation.

JEREMIAH 8 The Lord says to the leaders of Judah; You will be as dung spread over the ground. This wicked race would rather die than live.

JEREMIAH 18; 1-10 The Potter and the clay.
V6 House of Israel, I will remould you as a potter would a spoilt pot.
JEREMIAH 19: 3 Proclaim to the leaders and citizens of Judah.
V11 I shall smash this people as an earthen vessel is smashed beyond repair. There will be no room left to bury them.

PSALM 69; 35 for God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah.

This has happened now, with the Jews doing amazing construction and agricultural achievements since 1948.

But, then...
Verse 36 The children of those who serve Him will inherit the Land and those who love His name will live there.

In the land of Israel today, 42% of the Jewish population are secular ( atheist ) 25% believe in God, but do not actively worship Him and 12% practice Judaism, 8% are the extreme ultra orthodox Haredi Jews. In all the amazing things that have happened to the Jews since 1948 – their resettlement, restored language and wars won, they still do not acknowledge Gods hand in their affairs.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - God's Servant

Bruce McKerras July 2010

Gods “modus operandi “is to use people – kings, armies, scientists, preachers, etc
and even you and me as well as seemingly natural events, to carry out His purposes here on earth. We see King Cyrus, called by God – My servant, Cyrus. His decree allowed the Jews to return from Babylon and rebuild Jerusalem. Earlier, the Assyrians, who captured the Northern tribes, stated in 2KINGS 18; 23.... the Lord Himself said to me “Go up and destroy this Land “ Even Genghis Khan said that God had told him to destroy what he did. Seems that he took great pleasure in doing it, too!!

Right now, the President of Iran has vowed to “wipe Israel off the map“ even though he knows that an attack on Israel will result in their retaliation. Ahmadinejad believes that Israel must be destroyed before the 12th Imam can return. This is the Mahdi, the Islamic
( Satanic ) messiah.

JEREMIAH 49: 34-39 I shall break Elam (Iran ) before their foes – I shall send My fierce anger upon them in disaster..... make an end to them.

But, prophecies given thousands of years ago, must be fulfilled.
EZEKIEL 20: 46 O man, face toward the South, prophesy to the scrublands of the Negev
v47 The Lord God says – I am about to kindle a fire in you, it will consume everything flammable. Its fiery flame will not be put out and everyone from the Negev northward will be scorched by it.
EZEKIEL 21: 4 It is because I intend to make away with righteous and wicked alike that My sword will be drawn against everyone from the Negev northward.
JEREMIAH 21: 11 To the Royal House of Judah...
V14 I shall punish you as you deserve, says the Lord. I shall set fire to your scrubland and will consume everything round about.
JEREMIAH 8 The Lord here is talking to the leaders of Judah.
V 6 I have listened to you and heard not one word of truth.
V 8 The scribes with their lying pens have falsified the Law
V 10 Therefore I shall give your lands to new owners, for all look for ill gotten gain, your prophets and Rabbis are all frauds.
V 11 You say “ All is well “ All is well? Nothing is well.
V 12 You have no sense of shame, therefore, you will be brought to the ground on the day of reckoning.

So, terrible as it may seem, it looks likely that a nuclear attack will take place sometime in the future. This clears the Land as in JEREMIAH 12v 14 I shall uproot those evil neighbours from the Land that I gave to My People, Israel, also I will uproot Judah from among them.
Israel’s immediate retaliation will destroy her attackers. All her neighbours are prophesied for destruction, here are examples;
ISAIAH 17: 1-2 Damascus will cease to be a city... a heap of ruins
V12-14 Listen, it is the thunder of vast forces... evening; terror, in the morning all gone.
ISAIAH 15: 1 On the night that Moab meets her doom.
ISAIAH 33:1 Woe betide, you destroyer, you will be destroyed.
V10-12 I shall arise, says the Lord, you will be as chaff and stubble. Whole nations will be heaps of white ash, like thorns cut down and set on fire.

Then, in JEREMIAH 8:10 Therefore, I shall give their Land to them who shall inherit it.
They must be the righteous remnant of all 12 tribes of Israel, who will be gathered and judged.
EZEKIEL 20: 35 I shall bring you into the Wilderness of the Peoples and there I shall confront you ( House of Israel and House of Judah ) and bring you to judgement.
ZECHARAIAH 12 v 8 This also is the word of the Lord: it will happen throughout the Land that two thirds of the people will be struck down and die, while one third of them will be left there. Verse 9 Then I shall pass this third through the fire, I shall refine them as silver and gold is refined. They will invoke Me by name and I myself will answer them. I shall say “these are My people “and they will say “ The Lord is my God “

This resettlement in the Promised Land of all 12 tribes, will fulfil the promise made to Jacob in GENESIS 35: 12 .. to your descendants, I will give this Land.
Not just 2 tribes, the Jews, but to all of Jacob’s sons descendants.

This inspiring prophecy will come true- ZECHARIAH 6:12 ... men from far away will come and work on the rebuilding of the Temple of the Lord. (All 12 tribes)
It will also allow for the selection of the 144,000 righteous servants of God - 12,000 from each tribe, as in Revelation.

Those multitudes of true and righteous believers, who are not of the 12 tribes of Israel – and only God knows who are, must hold fast to the promises of Jesus our Redeemer.
They will experience the joy of His Millennial reign.
ISAIAH 56: 6-7 So too, the foreigners who give their allegiance to Me ....
I shall give them joy in My House of prayer.... their offerings will be acceptable.
ISAIAH 14: 1 .... aliens will join and attach themselves to Jacobs people.

The House of Israel and the House of Judah

Still separated – to be rejoined in the future.

It’s an unfortunate fact that most people – Christian and secular, believe that the Jews in the land of Israel and abroad have already rejoined with the 10 lost tribes - OR the 10 tribes are lost permanently, absorbed into the nations.

Certainly, at the time of the Assyrian conquest and captivity of the 10 tribes, many escaped to Judah. These people practised Judaism and became Jews. Note that 200,000 people from Judah were also taken at that time according to Assyrian records.

Also note that some modern Jewish scholars admit that the 10 tribes are still in the world. In 1948, David Ben Gurion, was intending to declare the country of the Jews, to be the State of Judah. At the last moment he named the new country “Israel”.

Speculation as to the identity of the House of Israel has used up many tons of paper and ink, but most make the mistake of thinking that because some people groups have certain Jewish traditions, then they must be a lost tribe. It may be that they are Jews, or have been influenced by Judaism.

The Bible says that Israel will lose its language and identity and be scattered to the ends of the earth. But Judah will be an object of derision and horror in the world. Jer. 29v18
1Kings 12v24 The Lord says- the split between Israel and Judah is My doing.
Zech.11v14 Brotherhood annulled between Israel and Judah.
2 Chron. 10v19 From that day to this, Israel is in rebellion against Judah.
2 Sam. 7v10 I shall assign a place for My people , Israel
Eze. 11 Ezekiel is talking to the leaders of Judah, delivering judgement on them for not keeping the laws of the Lord.
• Verse 13 - all the Israelites who are left?
• v.15 They are your brothers and kinsmen, this whole people of Israel, to whom the inhabitants now in Jerusalem have said, “They are separated far from the Lord; the land has been made over to us to possess”
• v16 Say, therefore.... When I sent them far away among the nations and dispersed them over the earth... I became their sanctuary....
• v17 Say, therefore..... I shall gather you from among the nations..... I shall give the land of Israel to you.
Zeph.10v6 Triumph to Judah, Victory to Joseph... as though I had never cast them off
• v7 Ephraim like warriors.... rejoice in the Lord.
• v8 I shall whistle to call them in.
• v9 In far off lands, they will remember Me
• v10,11,12 Enemies destroyed.... resettled back in Lebanon and Gilead.

It is no wonder that so many ignore prophecy, as when they think that Israel and Judah are a single entity, only confusion results.

So, the prophecies to Judah, Jerusalem and the Jews pertain to the House of Judah.
The House of Israel, led by Ephraim (Joseph), also called by several other names in the Bible, has many prophecies telling of their blessings and final rejoining with Judah in the land. Each House has tasks appointed to it for the present days.

Isaiah 29 v 22 This is no time for Jacob (all Israel) to be shamed
v 23 His descendants will hallow My name.... regard Israel’s God with awe.
v24 The confused will gain understanding and the obstinate accept instruction.
