On that Day

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 It is just; that Y’hovah should balance the account by sending judgement to those who afflict you, to give those who love and serve Him relief, when Jesus comes to punish the ungodly, with His mighty host in blazing fire. They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, but on that great Day His glory will be revealed to all true believers. Isaiah 30:26, Psalm 18:7-15
[This passage of Scripture is not describing the Glorious Return of Jesus for His Millennial reign. It is an event before then –‘ when He comes in blazing fire and reveals His glory among His own’. It does not fit how He destroys the armies that are attacking Jerusalem at His Return, then how the whole world will see Him]
2 Peter 3:10 The Day of the Lord will come unexpectedly. The heavens will disappear with a roar and flaming fire will bring all the earth to judgement. Malachi 4:1
Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we deliberately persist in sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains only the terrifying expectation of a fierce fire which will consume God’s enemies. Zephaniah 1:14-18
Psalm 110:5-6 The Lord at Your right hand – He crushes kings on the Day of His wrath. In majesty He judges the nations, causing destruction throughout the world. Ps.97:2
Revelation 14:14-20 On a white cloud, I saw a figure like a man, wearing a gold crown and holding a sharp sickle. Put in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come to harvest the earth. Then the angel that has authority over fire, called to Him - ‘Swing Your sickle now, for the earth’s grapes are ripe and ready for harvest. So the grapes were gathered and thrown into the great winepress of Y’hovah’s wrath. The blood flowed from it for 200 miles. Isaiah 63:1-6, Zephaniah 1:17

Jeremiah 51:5-6 Israel and Judah are not left widowed by their God, by Y’hovah. But their Land is full of guilt, condemned by the Holy One of Israel. Flee out of [this] Babylon, each person for himself or you will perish for her sins. For now comes the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, He is paying her full recompense.
Isaiah 17:4-10 On that Day, Jacobs strength will fade away, as when a reaper gathers the grain or as an olive tree is stripped at harvest and left with just a few berries. On that Day all will look to their Maker, all idols and the works of their hands are as rubbish. On that Day, cities will be deserted and abandoned, because you have forgotten Y’hovah, your strength and protector. Jeremiah 9:12-13, Isaiah 6:11-12
Isaiah 17:12-14 Listen! It is the thunder of vast forces, like the roaring of mighty waters. Nations flee, driven before the storm like thistledown. At evening, all is terror, by morning all is gone. Such is the fate of those who conspire to attack us. Psalm 83, Isaiah 66:15-16 Ref: REB, NIV. Some verses abridged.
My comments;
These Bible verses describe the next prophesied event – how Y’hovah sends His right hand man, Jesus, to ‘ harvest the world of His enemies, those who conspire to attack His people’ This is also the Sixth seal judgement, mentioned and described in over 40 Bible prophecies. This worldwide judgement of fire accurately fits how the earth would be affected by a massive coronal mass ejection. But as Isaiah and many other prophets say, His righteous people will be protected.

The Land, scorched and untrodden

Jeremiah 9:7-10a These are the Words of Y’hovah: I shall refine and test them. How else should I deal with My people? They speak lies and place traps for the unwary. Shall I fail to punish them for this? I will exact vengeance, and on the mountains and pastures there will be weeping and wailing. Jer.3:21, Psalm 30:5
Jeremiah 9:10b-11 The Land is scorched and untrodden, not even birds or beasts remain. Jerusalem and the towns of Judah are ruined and uninhabited. Jer. 12:4
Jeremiah 9:12 Who is wise enough to understand all this? Who has the Lord’s command to explain it? Why has the Land become a dead Land, burned and laid waste? [These are dual prophecys, to be completely fulfilled in the near future]
Jeremiah 9:13-20 It is because they rejected My Law, which I set before them, they neither obeyed Me or kept My Laws. They follow the promptings of their wicked hearts, as their forefathers have taught them. Therefore, I shall make them eat and drink bitterness, I will scatter them among the nations, harass and punish them there. Wail and lament, for you have left your Land and your houses are in ruins. Isaiah 10:23, Isaiah 28:21-22
My comments: The Kingdom of Israel, conquered and exiled in 722BC, then Judah in 585BC and again in 70AD. The exile of the northern 10 tribes still applies, part of the House of Judah have returned to part of the Land, but they do not fully obey Y’hovah, so they and all peoples, remain under the threat of punishment.

Jeremiah 9:21-22 Death has come in the windows and entered our safe places. People in the streets and squares are cut off. Corpses lie everywhere, like swaths behind the reaper, with no one left to gather them. Joel 2:9-11, Jer. 25:33, Jer. 7:32-34
My comments; This is the result of the Great Day of the Lords vengeance and wrath. A massive CME sunstrike will ‘scorch the land ‘ – ‘burned and laid waste’. Underground shelters will be the only protection. This is amazingly prophesied for the Jewish remnant, in Isaiah 29:1-4.....you will speak out of the earth. Their voices will squeak ghostlike from underground.

Jeremiah 9:25-26 The time is coming, says Y’hovah when I shall punish all the circumcised. The Egyptians, the Jewish people, the Edomites, the Jordanians and all who live on the fringes of the desert. For all alike are uncircumcised and even the whole House of Israel is really uncircumcised in heart. Ezekiel 30:1-5
My comments: The prophesy about scattering His people among the nations has been fulfilled and now we await the full and final regathering back into the Promised Land. In order for that to happen, the great clearance and cleansing as prophesied here, and Jeremiah 12:14 will take place. Then the ‘scorched Land ‘ will be regenerated as in;
Ezekiel 36:8-12 But you, Land of Israel, you will grow your fruit trees and crops, for the homecoming of My people is near. I shall settle on you the whole people of Israel. They will be more prosperous that in days of old. Thus you will know that I am the Lord. Jeremiah 29:13-14, Ezekiel 36:36
His righteous people will know Y’hovah by His blessings to them, not by the presence of Jesus, until His Return, to come later. Great are the promises to His people!

Who is wise enough to understand this?

Who is wise enough to understand this.........
Jeremiah 9:12.......and who has God’s command to proclaim it? Isaiah 50:4-7,
John 12:37-41
In these last days of the present era, scripture tells us that the Church will, in general, be compromising and have many different ideas of what the future holds. But there are believers who are willing to listen to teaching based soundly on the Word, as presented to us through the prophets. It will be these believers who will be better prepared to face these end time challenges and afflictions. Especially keep in mind that God’s promises are addressed to the faithful remnant who truly believe and trust in Him and only that remnant will be protected on the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, then later, during the terrible time of Satan’s domination, until the glorious Return of Jesus.
It is sad that many pastors and teachers base their eschatology on traditional doctrines of their denomination or particular theological school, and thereby fail to carefully ascertain what scripture really means. Or when a text does not fit their current beliefs, then they allegorise it, spiritualise it, culturalise it or rationalise it, to fit whatever they think how God should act.

Jeremiah 6:10 To whom shall I speak, to whom give the warning? Who will hear me? This peoples ears are blocked, they are incapable of listening. They treat God’s Word as a reproach and it has no appeal to them. Isaiah 28:9-10
Isaiah 29:9-11 If you confuse yourself, you will stay confused.... for the Lord has poured upon you a spirit of deep stupor.....the prophetic vision of it all has become for you like the words in a sealed book.
1 Corinthians 1:20 Where are the men of learning now? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.
Deuteronomy 32:29 If only they had the wisdom to discern this and understand what their end will be.
Matthew 13:10-15 Why do You speak in parables? He replied: To you it has been granted to know the secrets of the Kingdom, but not to them, for they look without seeing and listen without hearing or understanding. Happy are you that see and hear!
Jeremiah 33:3 If you call to Me, I shall answer and tell you of great and mysterious things of which you were unaware.
Isaiah 48:6 You have heard, seen the evidence, now admit the truth. From now on, I will show you new things, hidden things that you did not know before.
Isaiah 35:3-5 Steady yourself, be strong – fear not. Your God comes to save you, with His vengeance and retribution. THEN the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. [After the Day of the Lord] Isaiah 32:3-4
Isaiah 42:18-19 You that are deaf; hear now! You that are blind; look and see! Who is so blind and deaf as My servants and messengers, the ones who have My trust.
Isaiah 29:22b-24 This is no time for Jacob to be shamed or frightened, for they will praise Me when they see what I have done for them. The confused will gain understanding and the obstinate will accept instruction. Isaiah 44:8, Isa 45:19

Those who know what is right

Isaiah 51:7-8 Listen to Me, My people, those who know what is right, you that lay My instructions to heart and do not fear the taunts of the enemy. For they will be like a garment eaten by moths, but My saving power will last forever.
[The Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath will reduce the power of the godless peoples, but not totally destroy them.] Isaiah 51:6

Isaiah 51:9-11 Awake, Awake: arm of the Lord, put on Your strength as You did in days long past. It was You that dried up the sea to make a path for your people. And now, Y’hovah’s people, set free, will come back and enter Zion with shouts of triumph. They will have gladness and joy, while suffering and mourning will pass away.
[This is the second Exodus, His people return to the Land, then cleared and cleansed – great will be the day! Ezekiel 20:33-38]

Isaiah 51:12-16 I am He who comforts you, why then fear man who must die. Why have you forgotten your Maker, the One who makes all things? Do not be in fear of your oppressor, you will soon be set free. I am the Lord, your God, Y’hovah is My Name. I have put words in your mouth and kept you covered under the shelter of My hand. I, the Creator, say to Zion: you are My people.
[Y’hovah will protect His people on that terrible Day – a worldwide judgement of fire, in the form of a massive CME sunstrike – the next prophesied event. Isaiah 30:26-29]

Isaiah 51:17-23 Arouse yourselves, rise up Jerusalem – My people. From the Lord’s hand, you have drunk the cup of His wrath and now there is no one to lead you. The disasters of the sword, famine and desolation have overtaken you, now who can console you? Therefore; listen to this, in your affliction, you that are drunk, but not with wine: Thus says Y’hovah, your God who will plead His peoples cause – I take from your hand My cup of wrath and I shall hand it to your tormentors, those who walked all over you. Ref; REB. some verses abridged

My comments:
This is another clear sequence of events – how The Lord’s day of vengeance and wrath punishes His enemies and then, His righteous people will travel to and settle in the new Land of Beulah. Isaiah 62:1-5, Jeremiah 31
From verse 18, we can see that all this passage from Isaiah 51, is before the Return of Jesus. This will happen later, after His people have come back and are living in the Land in peace and prosperity, as so well described in Ezekiel 36 and Hosea 14.......they will again dwell in My shadow, they will grow and flourish.
‘Listen to Me! Prepare yourselves My people’. You have received all the punishments that I decreed. You are insensible, not with wine, but to the truth of the Word of your God. Amos 8:11-12 Now, I will take out My wrath on our enemies, but I will protect you and set you free. You will go back to all that Land I promised to your forefathers. Jeremiah 46:27, Jeremiah 31:1-14, Zechariah 9:16, Habakkuk 3:13, Joel 3:16, Isa. 27:6

The Land of Beulah

Isaiah 62:1-2a For Zion’s sake, I shall not keep silent – until her victory shines forth, like the sunrise, her victory like a blazing torch. The nations will see your victory and their rulers your glory.
[Isaiah prophesies for the sake of the Land of Israel. There will be a great victory, ‘like a blazing torch’ - a CME sunstrike? over the attacking enemies. Isaiah 66:15-16 The world will see it and be amazed. Jeremiah 33:6-16
Isaiah 62:2b-5 You will receive a new name, the Lord Himself will give it. You will be like a glorious crown in His hand. No more are you forsaken and your Land desolate. You will be called ‘Hephzibah’ and the Land, ‘Beulah’. For Y’hovah will delight in you and it will be like a marriage – He will rejoice over you as a bridegroom over his bride. [Hephzibah = My delight is in her. Beulah = married. Isaiah 49:18
Y’hovah’s people, righteous Israel, gathered and settled into their Land, the Land of Eretz YĆsrael, then called Beulah. Wonderful promises to them of fertility and wealth. They will live in justice, peace and security, as He intended people to be. Jeremiah 3:22]
Isaiah 62:6-7 Jerusalem, on your walls, I have posted watchmen, they will call out: You that invoke the Name of the Lord, do not rest and give no rest to the Lord until He makes Jerusalem a praise throughout the world.
[Those who tell about these things are ‘watchmen’ but all Christian believers must not rest or let Y’hovah forget His people and His Land. Keep praying for our redemption and restoration. Ezekiel 36:24-28, Isaiah 52:7-9]
Isaiah 62:8-9 Y’hovah has sworn to never again allow foreigners to take the produce of the Land, but you who give praises to Him will eat the grain and drink the wine, within My sacred courts.
[After the great clearance in the Middle East, only His righteous people will be allowed to live there, those who love the Lord and obey Him. Isaiah 66:20-21, Ezekiel 20:38]
Isaiah 62:10-11 Pass through the gates – clear a road for My people. Build a highway, remove the rocks and make a signal to guide the people. Proclaim to the ends of the earth, say to the offspring of Zion: See your deliverance comes, His reward is with Him and He will make recompense.
[The great gathering of Y’hovah’s people – the second Exodus, will happen in the same manner as the first Exodus. Leaders [shepherds] will arise to guide the flock, in the spirit of Moses and Elijah. Jeremiah 3:14-15, Isaiah 58:11, Isaiah 43:5-7, Micah 4:6, Isaiah 49:9-13, Isaiah 51:3, Zechariah 8:11-12, Isaiah 40:1-5, Ezekiel 11:17

Isaiah 62:12 They will be called ‘The Holy people, the Redeemed of Y’hovah’ and Jerusalem will be called ‘sought after, the City no longer forsaken’.
[Y’hovah’s people, living in the Holy Land of Beulah, as He created them to live, being a ‘light to the nations’ and witnesses to His salvation. They will send out 144,000 missionaries to every people group, to preach the good news of the coming Kingdom of Jesus. Isaiah 66:19, 1 Peter 2:9-10, Acts 2:39, Jeremiah 31:23-34
Joel 2:23-27 People of Zion, rejoice – your God will recompense you for the years that others have ravaged your Land. You will again have plenty in your own Land. Then you will know that I am present in Israel and that I and no other am your God.

Isaiah 26:20-21.....until the Lords wrath has passed. The Lord is coming to punish the wicked and apostate peoples of the earth.
Isaiah 27:1 On that Day, the Lord will punish with His powerful sword Leviathan, that twisting serpent.
Isaiah 27:2-5 On that day, sing of the fruitful vineyard – I the Lord am it’s keeper. I tend it constantly, but I get no fruit from it. If only it were briars and thorns, then I would not hesitate to destroy it. But if they [Israel] come to Me for refuge, I will let them make peace with Me.
Isaiah 27:6 In time to come, Jacobs posterity will prosper and Israel will flourish. They will fill the whole earth with fruit.

Isaiah27:7-9 Has the Lord struck Israel, as He has killed their enemies? The atonement for Jacob’s guilt is made by their sojourn in exile. All the idol worshipping altars and sacred poles are destroyed.
Isaiah 27:10 The fortified settlement is abandoned. Animals graze there and the trees are dead, good only for firewood.
Isaiah 27:11 For this is a people without understanding, so their Maker will not show them favour.

Isaiah 27:12 In that day, the Lord will thresh the grain from the Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt and you, Israelites will be gathered one by one. On that Day, a great trumpet will sound and those who were exiled in Assyria and Egypt will come to worship the Lord in Jerusalem.

A voice will say; this is the way, follow it

Isaiah 30:1-14 The Lord says; woe to Israel, a race of rebels who refuse His Laws. They ask for preachers to ‘give us smooth words and illusions’.
Isaiah 30:15 These are the words of the Lord; In calm detachment lies your safety, your strength in quiet trust.
Isaiah 30:16-17 But you would have none of it, therefore you will be put to flight.
Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord is waiting to show you His favour and compassion, for He is a God of justice. Happy are all who wait for Him! [Luke 12:37]
Isaiah 30:19-22 People of Zion, weep no more. The Lord will answer you when you call for help. He gives you adversity and affliction now, but your teachers will no longer be hidden from you, you will see them with your own eyes. If you stray from the right path, you will hear a voice behind you saying- ‘this is the Way, follow it’. You will loath your images and will treat your idols [sorcery, false religions, materialism, etc] like filth. [Hosea 14:8 & Ezekiel 11:18]

Isaiah 30:25-26 On the Day of slaughter, when fortresses fall, streams of water will flow from every hill. The moon will shine like the sun and sunlight will be seven times brighter on the Day the Lord heals the wounds of His people. [Isa 63:4]
Isaiah 30:27-28 See the Lord Himself comes from afar, with anger and wrath, in dense clouds of smoke. His breath is a rushing torrent, He shakes the nations in a sieve of destruction. [Ezekiel 30:2-3 & Habakkuk 3:12]

Isaiah 30:29 But for you there will be songs and gladness of heart as you march to music, on the way to the Mountain of the Lord. [Zech. 10:10-12, Psalm 68:7-12]
Isaiah 30:30-33 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty and reveal His arm descending in fierce anger, with devouring flames, thunder and hail. [Heb 10:27]
For at His voice, Assyria’s strength fails, His punishing Rod strikes them down. A fire pit is prepared by Jerusalem, ready for the Lord to set it ablaze with His breath, like a stream of burning sulphur.

My comments ; Verse 10 is appropriate for our days, as false religions, prosperity theology, etc. are promulgated everywhere.
Verse 19-24 Are for the period after His people, all Israel, are resettled in the Land. They will have God given leaders and teachers to guide them until Jesus Returns.
Verse 25-28 & 30-33 The Lords Day of vengeance, the fire judgement on His enemies – the Day His people are healed and redeemed.
Verse 29 Then they gather into the Promised Land.
