Restoration of all Israel
Ezekiel 37:1-10 The prophesy of the valley of dry bones.
Ezekiel 37:11-14....these bones are the whole people of Israel, they say; our bones are dry, our hope is gone.... The Lord says; My people, I shall bring you up from your graves and restore you to the Land of Israel. You will know that I am Y’hovah when I do this. I will put My spirit in you and settle you on your own soil.
The Israelites were punished by God for their sins by dispersion into other lands. That is why they cry ‘our hope is gone, we are cut off’, they have lost their Israelite identity, and become spiritually dead. Note that the bones, which metaphorically represent all 12 tribes of Israel, are displayed in an open field, showing that their exile is not an actual captivity. Ezekiel’s task is to bring the good news to them, to revive their hope and faith, that they are still God’s people, He hasn’t broken His covenant with them, He still loves them and the time has come when He will restore them into the Promised Land.
The restoration of the whole House of Jacob, all 12 tribes, must happen before the Millennial time and the war of Gog and Magog in order for the Temple to be rebuilt and the 144,000 to be selected. The spiritual death of the children of Israel will not last much longer. Through the prophet Elijah [Malachi 4:5], God will awaken them to their divine destiny. The long exile will be over; they will establish their own politically independent State in all of the Holy Land. The first stage of this redemption has been done in part of the Land, by the Jewish people, but they too, have not yet received a renewal of God’s Spirit. The ‘dry bones’ prophecy of Ezekiel does not mean physical resurrection of the dead, but is a symbolic vision, similar to other Biblical allegories. It means the end of exile and the beginning of restoration. Eze 11:19, Eze 36:24-28 & 38
Ezekiel 37:15-28... I am taking the leaf of Israel and joining it to the leaf of Judah; they will be as one in My hand. I shall assemble them from every quarter and restore them to their own soil....
The prophecy of the ‘dry bones’ continues on to the “two leaf” prophecy. This is the time when the House of Judah rejoins with the House of Israel, separated since King Rehoboam’s time. It is only when the both Houses reject their apostasy and sins, that they will be ready to become one nation again, a nation of priests and a light to the world. Still, this is not the final redemption, but a preliminary one, to enable their regathering and settlement into the Land of Greater Israel. Final redemption of the whole House of Israel will follow the destruction of the armies of Gog, who is motivated to attack because New Israel will be so wealthy and prosperous.
Ezekiel 38 & 39 The attack on New Israel by the armies of Gog and their destruction.
38:8...you will invade a land restored from ruin....the Israelites, brought out from the nations, living in peace and prosperity. [after the next war- before the return of Jesus]
Ezekiel 39:21-29....from that Day forward the Israelites will know that I am the Lord their God...... I have dealt out to them what their sins deserved... now I shall restore all of them, leaving none behind and make them exemplify My Holiness for many nations to see. No longer will I hide My face from them, I who have poured out My spirit on Israel. This is the Word of Y’hovah. Reference: REB. Some verses abridged. Bruce McKerras March 2011

Prophetic future
It was not the intention of God, to give His prophets a clear, instantly understandable message. To have done that would have revealed His plans to all and sundry.
We can never fully ascertain God’s ultimate design for His creation, although it is clear that he does want those who believe in Him and trust to His salvation, to be aware of coming events. We are told to trust Him and hold fast to our faith, but to do that in the midst of sudden and shocking events, without some idea of the outcome of such events, and then it is so much more difficult for us.
Therefore, because God HAS given us the information we need to know about the future, then it is a serious error to ignore it, to fail to gain some understanding or to think that a ‘rapture’ or death will take us away from it all.
It must be obvious, to anyone who reads the news, that the current world situation is nearing unsustainability, in terms of resources and population. But the flash point and the focal point of God’s plan, is the Middle East. God has not, in the past 63 years, allowed Israel to be conquered and He will not allow that to happen now. Although there will be another judgement upon the Jewish people, they will eventually be forgiven and restored. Ezekiel 16:59-63.
Many prophecies tell of God’s fire judgement, this has not happened as yet, His first judgement was by flood. This coming Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, is described as a terrible day of fire and sword. It will be a Day “when the heavens blaze” 2 Peter 3:12,
“burning like a furnace” Malachi 4:1, “raining fiery coals” Psalm 11:4-6, “fire like a whirlwind, many will be killed” Isaiah 66:15-17, “suddenly, in an instant....flames of devouring fire” Isaiah 29:5-6.
But the verse that tells us exactly how God will act on that day is Isaiah 30:26a- The moon will shine as bright as the sun and the sun will shine with 7 times its normal power.
This accurately describes a solar flare, something that does happen in a small way on a regular basis. In the past there have been larger coronal mass ejections [CME sunspots] but scientists warn of the possibility/probability of a massive CME, that in our modern age of communications, transport and conveniences, would have a devastating effect.
Now, note the second half of Isaiah 30:26b... on that Day, the Lord will bind up the broken limbs of His people and heal their wounds.
This is a wonderful promise to His people, those who love the Lord and follow in His laws, righteous Israel. Many, many prophecies tell how His people will be conveyed and gathered into the Land of Greater Israel after this Day of judgement. This day and the gathering are quite different from that described at the return of Jesus - years later.
Isaiah 52:6-12 On that day, My people will know My Name.....go out leave Babylon, keep yourselves pure, the Lord will guard and guide you.
Ezekiel 28:25-26 When I execute judgement on all of Israel’s scornful neighbours, then My people, all the Israelites, gathered from the nations, will live in peace in the Land, I shall show My holiness in them for everyone to see. [Before Jesus Returns]
Ezekiel 20:41-42 I shall accept you....after I have brought you out from the peoples where you have been dispersed, into the Land promised to your forefathers.

Go tell the Israelites
Go, tell the Israelites; ..........
Ezekiel 20:30......... the Lord God says: Are you defiling yourselves as your forefathers did and lusting after other gods?
Eze 20:31-32 You are defiling yourselves this very day with your false religions and insincere faith. Israel, I refuse to be consulted by you. You can never be like the other nations, who worship idols.
Eze 20:33-34 As I live, says Y’hovah, I shall reign over you with a strong hand and by My wrath, I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the countries where you have been dispersed.
Eze 20:35-36 I shall bring you into the Meeting place in the desert, there I shall confront you and bring you to judgement. Just as I did in Egypt with your forefathers, so I shall judge you.
Eze 20:37-38 I shall make you pass under the rod [of judgement] and I will bring you into the bond of the Covenant. All those who rebel or revolt against Me will not set foot on the soil of Israel.
Eze 20:39-42 Now, you Israelites – go serve your idols. But in days to come you will be punished for it, then no more will you desecrate My holy Name. For there, in the land of Israel, the entire House of Israel will serve Me. After I have restored you to the Land of your ancestors, I shall require your offerings and gifts and then I will accept you as a fragrant incense. Isa 45:16-17
Eze 20:42-44 When I resettle you into Eretz Israel, you will despise yourselves for your past conduct and you will know that I am your God. Not as your wickedness deserves, but as the honour of My Holy Name demands. Isa 43:25
Eze 20:45-48 The Word of the Lord came to me: Ezekiel, turn and face toward the South, prophesy to the desert of the Negev. Say to it: The Lord God says – I am about to set a fire in you and it will consume all flammable things. Its fiery flame will not be put out and all people from the South to the North will be scorched by it. All will see that it is I, Y’hovah, who has set it ablaze, not to be quenched.
