A voice will say: this is the way - follow it

Isaiah 30:1-14 The Lord says; woe to Israel, a race of rebels who refuse His Laws. They ask for preachers to ‘give us smooth words and illusions’.

Isaiah 30:15 These are the words of the Lord; In calm detachment lies your safety, your strength in quiet trust.

Isaiah 30:16-17 But you would have none of it, therefore you will be put to flight.

Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord is waiting to show you His favour and compassion, for He is a God of justice. Happy are all who wait for Him! [Luke 12:37]

Isaiah 30:19-22 People of Zion, weep no more. The Lord will answer you when you call for help. He gives you adversity and affliction now, but your teachers will no longer be hidden from you, you will see them with your own eyes. If you stray from the right path, you will hear a voice behind you saying- ‘this is the Way, follow it’. You will loath your images and will treat your idols [sorcery, false religions, materialism, etc] like filth. [Hosea 14:8 & Ezekiel 11:18]

Isaiah 30:23-24 The Lord will give rain and the Land will produce rich crops. Your livestock will prosper. [Isaiah 41:17-19 & Ezekiel 34:14-16]

Isaiah 30:25-26 On the Day of slaughter, when fortresses fall, streams of water will flow from every hill. The moon will shine like the sun and sunlight will be seven times brighter on the Day the Lord heals the wounds of His people. [Isa 63:4]

Isaiah 30:27-28 See the Lord Himself comes from afar, with anger and wrath, in dense clouds of smoke. His breath is a rushing torrent, He shakes the nations in a sieve of destruction. [Ezekiel 30:2-3 & Habakkuk 3:12]

Isaiah 30:29 But for you there will be songs and gladness of heart as you march to music, on the way to the Mountain of the Lord. [Zech 10:10 & Psalm 68:7]

Isaiah 30:30 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty and reveal His arm descending in fierce anger, with devouring flames, thunder and hail. [Heb 10:27]

For at His voice, Assyria’s strength fails, His punishing Rod strikes them down. A fire pit is prepared by Jerusalem, ready for the Lord to set it ablaze with His breath, like a stream of burning sulphur.

Ref, REB some verses abridged

My comments ; Verse 10 is appropriate for our days, as false visions and prosperity theology etc. are promulgated everywhere.

Verse 19-24 Are for the period after His people, all Israel, are resettled in the Land. They will have God given leaders and teachers to guide them until Jesus Returns.

Verse 25-28 The Lords Day of vengeance – the Day His people are healed and redeemed

Verse 29 Then they gather into the Promised Land.

A remnant will return to Israel

Isaiah 10:17-19 The Light of Israel will become a fire, its Holy One a flame which in one Day will burn up and consume His thorns and briars. The splendour of his forests and fields it will completely destroy, as suddenly as someone falling in a fit. Only a very few trees will be left.
Isaiah 10:21 On that Day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob will rely no more on foreign help, but without wavering, will truly rely on the Lord – the Holy One of Israel. A remnant of Jacob will return, to their Mighty God.
Isaiah 10:22-23 Israel, your people may be as many as the sands of the sea, but only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous The Lord will carry out the destruction upon the whole Land.

Isaiah 10:24-26 Therefore, says the Lord; My people, dwellers in Zion, do not be afraid of foreigners, though they oppressed you. Very soon My anger against you will end and My wrath will be directed at them, as I have done in times past.
Isaiah 10:27 On that Day, the burden they laid on you will be removed, the yoke broken.

Ezekiel 34:11-13 For the Lord God says; Now I will take thought for My sheep and search for them. As a shepherd gathers his flock when they are lost, so I shall rescue them from all the places that they were scattered in a Day of cloud and darkness. I shall lead them out from the nations and gather them from all the places where they were scattered and bring them home to their own country.
Ezekiel 34:14-16 The pasture for My people is the Land of Israel. They will thrive and find rest there. I shall search for the lost, bandage the injured, strengthen the sick and give My flock the proper food.
Ezekiel 34:17-22 Now, I shall judge between the fat sheep and the lean. You rams and goats have taken the best pastures and muddied the drinking water. Therefore I will save My flock and they will be ravaged no more.
Ezekiel 34:23-29 I shall set over them My servant, David he will care for them and will be their God. I shall make a covenant with them to ensure peace and prosperity The Land will bear great crops of fruit and produce. When I rescue them from the power of their enemies, then they will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 34:30-31 Then they will know that am with them and they are My people. You are My flock, that I feed and I am your God.

Jeremiah 33:6-8 Now, I shall bring healing and care for Judah and Israel and let them see lasting peace and security. I will restore their fortunes and rebuild them as they once were. I shall cleanse them of all wickedness and sin that they have committed and forgive all the evil deeds of rebellion against Me.
Jeremiah 33:9 This city will bring Me renown and praise, when the nations hear of the good things that I bestow on her. They will be in awe and trembling at this.
Jeremiah 33:14-16 The days are coming, says the Lord, when I shall bestow on Judah and Israel all the blessings I have promised them. In those days and at that time, I shall make a righteous Branch spring from David’s line; he will maintain law and justice in the Land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will be undisturbed. This is the name it will be called; The Lord our Righteousness.

Hosea 6:1-3 Come, let us return to the Lord. He has wounded us, but He will heal us. After two days, He will revive us on the third day, He will raise us to live in His presence. Let us strive to know the Lord, whose coming is as sure as the sunrise. He will come to us like the spring rains that water the earth.

1 Corinthians 2:7-9 I speak God’s hidden wisdom, His secret purpose framed from the very beginning to bring us to our destined glory. None of the powers that rule the world know that wisdom. Scripture tells us of things beyond our seeing, beyond our hearing, beyond our imagining – all prepared by God for those who love Him.

My comments;
Isaiah 10 – On one Day, the Lord will destroy His enemies. This will be the Lords Day of vengeance and the 6th seal of Revelation. The Land of Greater Israel will be cleansed and burnt off. On that Day, His righteous people will trust completely in the Lord. They will re settle into the Land.
Ezekiel 34 – His people found and rescued from wherever they are after the ‘Day of cloud and darkness”. Another description of the Lords Day of vengeance. They are brought home to their own country, Israel. All of His people, no matter what their health or age, will thrive and find rest. First, they will be judged and those priests and leaders who have led their flock astray will not enter the Land. When His people are rescued – then they will know that; “I am with them and you are My people”. Must be before the Return of Jesus.
Jeremiah 33 – Judah and Israel healed, cleansed and forgiven, live in peace and security Jerusalem will become a city that will be admired and respected worldwide. The Lord says; I will keep My promises to Israel and Judah. A leader from David’s line will appear – may be Zerubabbel, eventually will be Jesus.
Hosea 6 – His people have been punished, now to be restored. Two days [two thousand years] then revival, that is back into the Land, then on the third day [ the beginning of the Millennium] they will live in His presence. [The Lord Jesus Returns in His glory]
