END TIMES – SOME F.A.Q’s Bruce McKerras August 2010

Who are My People ? - To be gathered into the Promised Land.
This is a difficult question and really only God knows. It does seem clear, from what the Bible tells us, that they are mostly actual descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
But, even in ancient days, aliens joined and were accepted as Israelites.
Isaiah 56:8 Yet others I will gather, to those already gathered in the Land.
John 11:52 Jesus will die, not for the Jews alone but in order to gather together the scattered children of God.
In Ephesians 2:19-22 Paul says that those true believers in Jesus Christ are no longer aliens.
The New Testament brings a new day – not only would the Israelites be a part of God’s people but in this new day the Gentiles could be grafted into this people line. Therefore, all true believers in Jesus are now “My People”.

You will know My people by their righteous lives.
John 15:16 You did not choose Me- I chose you. I appointed you to go on and bear fruit,
fruit that will last.
Luke 6:44 Each tree is known by its fruit, you don’t get figs or grapes from brambles or thistles.
Matthew 12:33-35 You can tell a tree by its fruit.
Matthew 7:19 A tree that does not yield sound fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire
Isaiah 3:10 Happy are the righteous, all will be well with them. They will enjoy the fruits of their deeds.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is the tree of life.

When will these end time events happen?
It is very scary, but it seems likely that the prophecies that speak clearly of a Mid East nuclear war will be fulfilled in the near future. I agree with the idea that the tribulation will finish during a Jubilee year, probably 2030. An interesting verse in Luke 13:32 Jesus says that He will work for 2 days then will reach His goal on the third. As a day is like 1000 years to the Lord, then His goal- His Millennial reign will start exactly 2000 years after the start of His ministry. And again in Hosea 6:2 After 2 days, He will revive us. On the 3rd day we will live in His presence
So, working back, 2023 is the start of the 7 year Tribulation. We can only guess how much time is needed for the Gathering and Judgement of His people and their settlement in the Land.
But, war may happen at any time, this crazy situation between Israel and the Muslims has gone on so long, just cannot stay like this forever. Watch Iranian politics, Ahmadinejad nearly lost the last election – only fraud kept him in office so he must act while he still has power.

How will His people gather in the Land ?
Jeremiah 30:10 Israel, do not despair, I shall bring you back safe from afar.
Ezekiel 34:11 Now I shall take a thought for My sheep and search for them.
Ezekiel 34:12 As a shepherd, I shall find and rescue my sheep, no matter where they were scattered.
Isaiah 49:22 The Lord says, I shall beckon to the nations, hoist My signal to the peoples and they will bring your sons in their arms and your daughters on their shoulders.
Jeremiah 16:15-17 I will bring the Israelites back to the Land that I gave to their forefathers. I shall send for many fishermen and they will fish for them. After that, I shall send for many hunters and they will hunt them from every place. For My eyes are on all their ways, I am watching them and I see any wrongdoing.
Isaiah 60:8-9 Who are these, that sail along like clouds, that fly like doves to their dovecotes? They are vessels assembling from the coasts and islands; they bring your children from far away, their treasure with them. The Holy One of Israel has made you glorious for His honour.
Hosea 2:14 Now I shall woo Israel and lead her into the wilderness, speak words of encouragement to her.
Psalm 68:7 God, when at the head of Your people, You marched through the barren waste – the earth trembled and rain poured down.
Psalm 68:17 There were myriads of Gods chariots when the Lord came from Sinai.
Zechariah 8:8 My people, brought back to live in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 10:10 I shall lead them into Gilead and Lebanon, until there is no more room.

What will My people eat and drink ?
Ezekiel 36:8 You, mountains of Israel will put forth your branches and yield fruit for My people, Israel for their homecoming is near.
Ezekiel 36:9 See, I am now for you, I shall turn to you – the land will be tilled and sown.
Ezekiel 36:10 I shall settle on you many people- the whole House of Israel.
Isaiah 41:17-19 The poor and needy look for water and find none. I, the Lord will provide for their needs. I shall open springs in the hills and pools in the desert.
Ezekiel 34:14-16 There will be rich grazing on the hills of Israel. I shall strengthen the sick and give My flock their proper food.
Micah 7:14 your flocks will graze in Bashan and Gilead as in days gone by.
Ezekiel 34:26-27 I will bless you with rain in due season. Trees will bear fruit and the soil its produce.
Psalm 81:16 You will be fed with the best flour and honey.
Joel 2:19 The Lord answered their appeal and said – I shall send you corn, new wine and oil. You will have plenty of food.

Where will My people gather ?
Ezekiel 37:21-22 I am going to take the Israelites from their places of exile among the nations. I shall assemble them on the mountains of Israel.
Amos 3:9 Make this proclamation – Assemble yourselves on the hills of Samaria, look at the tumult seething among her people.
Ezekiel 20:35-36 I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, there I shall confront you and bring you to judgement. Even as I did to your forefathers in the desert of Egypt.

A leader appointed
Jeremiah 30:21 A governor will appear, one of your own number – I will bring him near and let him approach Me.

Prayer and encouragement for His people
Colossians 1:9-12 We ask God that we may receive from Him, full insight into His will, all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that our manner of life may be worthy of the Lord and entirely pleasing to Him. We pray that we may bear fruit in active goodness of every kind, and grow in the knowledge of God.
In His glorious might, may He give us ample strength to meet with fortitude and patience whatever comes; and to give joyful thanks to the Father who has made us fit to share the heritage of Gods people in the Kingdom of light.

IRANS NUCLEAR MULLAHS

IRAN’S NUCLEAR MULLAHS AND THEIR PLANS FOR THE APOCALYPSE
Bruce McKerras August 2010

The Iranian mullahs either have or will very soon have nuclear weapons. This reality is horrifying in the context of the Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s fantasy of annihilating
Israel. The inspiration for this fantasy is the apocalyptic world vision of Ahmadinejad and his co-rulers. This vision involves the Islamic Shi-ite belief in the return of the Hidden 12thImam, who is the awaited Mahdi of the Muslims. He is one of two eschatological figures in Islamic theology, the other being Jesus.
Al Mahdi means “the rightly guided one” and is portrayed as coming before the end times to make the entire world Muslim. Muhammad said that the Mahdi “will fill the earth with justice as it is now filled with oppression”.
This hidden Imam is, according to Islamic tradition, due to re-appear after a period in which the Muslims suffer great persecution and calamity. It is within the realm of possibility that Ahmadinejad is thinking that he can hasten the coming of the Imam Mahdi by bringing about an increase of what he would regard as oppression of the Muslims – ”oppression” that would in reality be Israel’s defensive response to an Iranian attack. The Shi-ite Muslims especially, believe that for as long as the Mahdi remains hidden, the world will stay apostate. They are fixated on the end times and are on the constant lookout for signs of his return. This obsession shapes their life, culture and politics and as can be seen by Ahmadinejad’s speeches, their approach to world affairs.

The Jews are described in Islamic theology as worshippers of the “Dajjal”- the Muslim equivalent of Anti-Christ. The Mahdi will lead the Muslims to defeat the Dajjal and then kill every Jew. If a Jew seeks refuge under a stone or behind a tree, they will be able to speak to tell a Muslim, “There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him! “

Not only are the Jews destroyed in the final war, but the Koran says they will serve as ransom for the Muslims in the fires of hell. The sins of the Muslims will weigh on them like mountains, but on the day of resurrection, these sins will be lifted and laid upon the Jews.

Anyone who says that there is no anti-Semitism in Islam is on a par with someone who claims that Islam is a ”religion of peace”.

The fate of the evil neighbors

THE FATE OF THE EVIL NEIGHBORS Bruce McKerras August 2010

Not if, but when, the confederation of Islamic nations and entities such as Hamas and Hezbollah, attack Israel in their desperate effort to overcome the humiliation of previous failed attempts to “wipe Israel off the map “- Then, a nuclear explosion will destroy Southern Israel. As in Ezekiel 20:46-47.
The Israel Defence Force has a stockpile of over 200 nuclear weapons, including neutron and thermonuclear bombs. They will immediately action the “Samson Option “which will deliver destruction to all those attackers. Here is an abridged quotation of Bible verses that reveals the fates of those “evil neighbours”. see Jeremiah 12:14.

THE NATIONS
Psalm 83 Do not keep silent, O God, for your enemies have devised a plot against your people. Let us wipe them out as a nation, they say- Let Israel be remembered no more.
Scatter them; make them as dung on the ground. As a fire rages through a forest, may they perish in disgrace.
Zechariah 12:1-9 This is the word of the Lord concerning Israel. I am about to make Jerusalem an intoxicating cup that sends all the surrounding nations reeling. Judah will be involved. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All who try to move her will be cut to pieces. The armies of those nations will be struck with blindness and madness. Judah will praise Me on that day and their leaders will be as a burning torch among the sheaves. All the nations right and left will be consumed.
Zechariah 14:12-15 This is the plague that will strike the nations who fight against Jerusalem – their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet. Panic will cause them to fight each other.
Isaiah 33:10-12 Now I shall arise, says the Lord. You will conceive chaff and stubble. Whole nations will be heaps of white ash, like thorns set ablaze.
Jeremiah 9:25-26 The Lord says, the time is coming when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh. All those who live in the desert regions are uncircumcised in their hearts.
Ezekiel 28:26 When I execute judgement on all of Israel’s scornful neighbours, then My people will live in the Land, undisturbed.

In Part Two, I specify the fates of Iran, The Palestinians, Syria, Lebanon, Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt.

THE JUDGEMENT OF GODS PEOPLE July 2010

Life and business continues as usual in the Middle East, planning, building, marrying and diplomatic efforts to resolve the “Israel situation”. We, as Bible students, have some idea about Gods plans as given to us through His prophets. It’s clear that the next major event will be a nuclear war started by Iran and finished by Israel. There won’t be a winner, as such, as the entire region will be depopulated – mostly killed, some evacuated, excepting Israel, where a remnant of the Jews will remain in the Land.
After a short period, God will motivate His people, Israel, that is, all the 12 tribes, to move to the Promised Land. Millions will gather to face His Judgement and then will enter the land in peace in security after they “pass under the rod”.

In Deuteronomy 32:36 Moses said that after Israel has sinned and been dispersed, that the Lord will judge His people and have compassion on His servants, for He will see that their strength has gone and no one is left, slave or free.
v41 I will sharpen My sword and set My hand to judgement, then I shall punish My adversaries and take vengeance on My foes.
HOSEA 12:2 The Lord has a charge to bring against Judah and is resolved to punish Jacob for his misconduct.
EZEKIEL 20: 35-36 I shall confront Israel and bring you to judgement. Even as I did in the Wilderness of Egypt against your forefathers, so against you I shall state My case.
ISAIAH 1: 25 Once again I shall act against you, to refine and purge away all your impurities.
EZEKIEL 22:17-22 The Lord says, all Israelites are a debased alloy, I shall gather you in My anger and wrath into Jerusalem, where I will melt and refine you.
HOSEA 7:1 When I am minded to restore the fortunes of My people their guilt will stand revealed.
AMOS 3:1 You alone I have chosen of all the nations, therefore I shall punish you for your sins.
NAHUM 1:3 The Lord is longsuffering, but does not let the guilty go unpunished.
ZECHARIAH 8:11 But now I will deal differently toward the remnant of this people than as I did in the past.
PSALM 68:6 God leads the prisoners home, but the rebels must remain in the desert.
EZEKIEL 20:37 I shall make you pass under the rod, counting you as you enter. v38 I shall purge you of those who revolt and rebel against Me. I shall take them out of the lands where they now live, but they will not set foot on the soil of Israel.
ISAIAH 10:17 The Holy One of Israel will become as a flame which in one day will consume his thorns and briars.
v20 On that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob, will rely only on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
v22 Israel, your people may be as many as the sands of the sea, but only a remnant will return (into the Land) Destruction has been decreed- righteous and just.
ISAIAH 54:22-23 I take from your hand My bowl of wrath, I shall hand it to your tormentors
EZEKIEL 20:40-41 On the Holy mountain of Israel, all the Israelites will serve Me. There I will accept them, after I have brought you out from the peoples and lands to which I dispersed you. I alone will have your worship and the nations will witness it.
HOSEA 2:14-23 But now I shall woo My people and lead them into the wilderness. I will speak words of encouragement to them. I shall betroth you to Myself forever. Israel will be My new sowing in the Land. I will say “You are My people “and you will say “You are our God “
ISAIAH 41:1 Listen in silence to Me, you coasts and islands, together we go to the place of Judgement.
v8-10 Israel My servant, summoned from the ends of the earth. Have no fear
For I am with you, I shall strengthen you and uphold you with My victorious right hand.
PSALM 30:4 Sing to the Lord, all you loyal servants. V5 His anger lasts but a moment, His favour a lifetime. Weeping for a night, rejoicing comes in the morning.
PSALM 22:23-25 You that fear the Lord, praise Him, revere Him, you descendants of Jacob. The Lord listens to your cry for help. I shall fulfil My vows in the sight of those who fear you.
ISAIAH 32:15-20 The Land is forsaken until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high. The land will become fertile. Justice, righteousness and peace will reign in the Land and My people will dwell undisturbed in peace and security.
ACTS 26:6 Paul says: And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers: v7 unto which promise our twelve tribes, serving God day and night, hope to come.
